: Well, yesterday MediaTakeOut.com todl THE WORLD that NBA baller Al Horford ELOPED this weekend, with the former MISS UNIVERSE, Amelia Vega. And that up until THE OTHER WEEK, Al was ENGAGED to another woman, a lovely young woman named Stephanie.
Well it gets even more SCANDALOUS . . . the wedding was a SURPRISE. Guests were asked to attend a party in the Dominican Republic for Al. Most of the partygoers expected to see A's fiance STEPHANIE there. But instead of a party, Al brought out AMELIA VEGA - and a PASTOR, and the two got MARRIED.
Needless to say most partygoers JAWS DROPPED. And we're told that AT LEAST ONE guest actually WALKED OUT in anger.
Oh, and there is a rumor going around that Amelia is KNOCKED UP and that's why the two got hitched.
No word on whether he signed a pre-nup. But if there is a GOD, he didn't . . .

Any man who would dump his fiance and elope w a woman days later is a man who is capable of much worse, and I think the ex got lucky. Wow this is an incredibly surprising story. I guess we now know who the REAL Al Horford is. How low is this guy? My sources have confirmed that Al was dating Stephanie for three plus years which included her living at Al's spot in rural Atlanta and sources also confirmed seeing her ride around in his white range river with a gator tag. Apparently Al learned how to be Rico suave from his father Tito who had no success with the ladies, but did give birth to quite a few kids around the world. Al met Stephanie at UF and at the time he was currently dating a UF dancer ( Asian see pics online), now if I was Stephanie that would have been my first red flag, what made you think he wouldn't do it to you if something better came along. Not only has he been seen with Amelia but also with Ada Aimee de la Cruz. From everything I have seen and heard, Al kept his relationship with Stephanie very exclusive for a reason he didn't want people knowing who she was because was out fooling around with girls. Not only is Al an idiot but why would you even seriously commit to a woman at your age with all you have accomplished? The brother might have game but his brain skills are dead. Two things for all you ignorant people.. First, she comes from a rich, high-class family in the Dominican, so I really doubt it matters if he signed a pre-nup or not, she's rich ppl.. Also, I understand the nationality isn't the same as race argument, but you guys have to understand that us Dominicans do not really see ourselves as black or white.. I'm light skinned but I wouldn't consider myself a white guy, just like Horford probably doesn't consider himself a black guy..

You have the right to express who you feel you are, but if someone has Caucasian features, or Negroid features, and they are racially mixed, they will be regarded as the group their looks most identify with.. So, if one is light skinned but with Negroid features, boo boo that means they are Black.. they're a Black Dominican, just as I am a Black American.. #BEPROUD
P.S. It is extremely disturbing to read of all the colorstruck-ness I see on the blogs... What is all the light skin, dark skin mess? Is it the 50s? Reading is fundamental. Did you not catch that dude was engaged to one girl after dating her for 3 years, then WITHOUT TELLING HER the next week he suddenly eloped with another chick..to say nothing of the question, what was he doing engaged to/ready to marry 2 chicks at once?? If you are engaged to someone, aren't you supposed to be exclusive and faithful to them? Is there still something that doesn't make sense about the impropriety and inappropriateness of these actions as a man and human being? It's not that he married another woman, it's the way he did it.
