: We just got word that Akon would like for us to NO LONGER refer to him as AKON. Instead he wants to be known as Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam.
He must beOUT HIS MIND if he thinks we can pronounce all that. We're still working on trying to pronounce the MTO CEO's name . . . Fred Mwangaguhunga.
mto u r so ignorant and disrespectful, i understand the name is a mouthful but how are u going to call his name, identity and the culture that names him "***". this is so wrong, u r not 12 year old, calling everything *** does not make u cool, u seriously need to get a wider vocabulary, are curse words the only words u kno? U grown people should b ashamed of yourselves. Its black ppl like u that make all of us look stupid and ignorant.
@ The Proverbial Hater: hahahahahaa you are funny!!!!!! that aside mto why would you refer to his names as sh*t??? is that supposed to be funny??? you're just ignorant. i'm african and i've got a lovely african name. so AKON go ahead and share with the world your wonderful names.....but seriously i prefer to AKON becos its *** and simple and its a name we're all used to.
At least we know he's not a descendant of slaves unlike you Black Americans. That's why you're all so effed up in the brains. Dumb, drugged up, uneducated, screwed up family, men in prison and the women have now taken to screwing each other. I don't know any uneducated African person here in the States. They are all very well educated unlike you lazy ***. 90% of Black Americans don't know who their fathers are.
@ Mojeebrown, what a nasty thing to say especially when nothing offensive was said about Akon's name.
@ topic, It's probably wise for him to go to his given name because Akon sounds too much alike 'A con'. Or maybe he really is a con and ppl have found him out and now he wants to change his image..lol
@ MissKanga
Great reply. And I'm not even AA. I hate when ppl come here and reap the benefits of the hell our ancestors here went through, then turn around and point at AA's who haven't bounced back yet from slavery, etc. It took generations and our free work to build this country and make white families rich. It will take generations for us to rebuild as well.
