Here is what they are reporting:
We hear that Don was having a very bad bout with cancer, and while this was going on, he was in a bitter dispute with his wife over the insurance money that would be delegated to her upon his death from the deadly disease.Don probably suspected that Life insurance DOESN'T PAY ANYTHING if someone commits SUICIDE!!! But California is different, if you had the policy more than 2 years - the policy pays for a suicide. And Don's policy was MORE than 2 years old.Our sources state that Don wanted the money to be given to his son Tony, but because of his marriage and his failing health the insurance was to be given to his wife. Don made the decision to take his own life since his doctor stated he had weeks left to live.

When someone contemplates suicide they are in emotional turmoil and they are in a psychological battle over ALL things going on in their life that's so "Deep" you can't reach out to them near the end and especially if they're mind is made up to leave this world. I am certain that over the course of his marital relationship with that woman he has more than spent what the value of his life insurance was worth on her so I don't think money would have been the deciding factor in his suicide. Usually when a man does not want a woman to have his money in divorce he will go to great lengths to hide it and if that doesn't work something ends up happening to her (Hit Man for instance) in this case I just think this proud man was battling an illness so debilitating that he had lost his quality of life and would rather DIE than be a burden to his family or end up in a nursing home where C.N.A's have to wipe s.h.i.t off his ass and feed him baby food. Many people feel that way so he wasn't alone in his thoughts and may our father in heaven keep him and all others who leave this world to soon in his memory for another chance at everlasting life....Or whatever it is you believe in!

This story is BS....makes no sense. 1. They were divorced, so she wasn't entitled to inherit anything. 2. Anyone is free to change the beneficiary of their life insurance policy at any time.
He killed himself because he knew he was going to die soon anyway and he was probably in pain and tired of suffering. He allegedly told the judge at the time of his divorce that he wanted to be divorced before he died, so he obviously didn't want her to get his hands on his money.

Forget race...this is really sad. I doubt that is the main reason he commited suicide. He was in a deep depression, which is unfortunately very common amongst the elderly and people who have a chronic disease. And he was elderly with a chronic disease, plus all the other personal issues he was going through. You can never predict what situation you will be in during life and how you will handle it, so don't judge him and pray that God will give you all the strength you need to handle anything that comes your way.

The ex-wife was awarded the insurance policies as part of the divorce settlement, so he couldn't change the beneficiary. Why would he expect his ex-wife to change the beneficiary to his son when they had such a bitter divorce. He must have been suffering from dementia as well.
