To be fair, both parties are to blame. Regardless of the majority in the House and Senate, and whichever party the President belongs to, we have way too much expansion of government, spending on warfare and welfare, taxation and regulation. Both parties are to blame.

If you want to get to the root of the problem, look at our monetary policy. Our dollar has lost 95% of its purchasing power since WWII. Read all you can about the Federal Reserve and central banking, fiat money, fractional reserve banking, and the fallacy of our Keynesian economics if you want to understand the business cycle (the booms and busts) and why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

If we can restore sound money, we will be much freer and prosperous for it.
