The funeral home had 24/7 security while Whitney was there so, this is a fake picture. That funeral would have been sued out the *** if they let something like that happen. Also, just like other people stated, the attire was not the same. Whoever it was that went to this extent to make some money will lose way more in the end. Karma!
I don't condone it. It's probably fake, as I would have expected her to be in a white gown, ala "One Moment in Time." This pic is really her. Whomever took the photo was a close friend,family or even someone who worked at the funeral home that had access to this. And nope the family wouldn't bury them in all their belongings its just to make you look extra pretty for ppl to get the final viewing. When my grandmother passed on we dressed her in all her jewerly but once the closing of the casket came to a final they gave us back her things. So anyone thinking they can dig her up and get her jewelry is sadly mistaken. This photo is legit they had it posted on all the news stations and I'm sure that whomever took the photo should save the earnings from it they'll need it when the police catch them to bail out of jail..
So sad that her mom and daughter have to see this anything ppl will do for a buck..

Yes it is tasteless and disrespectful, but whomever took this photo knew that it would sell for "BIG BUCKS" that's why they risked they're job and/or reputation of business to get this *** of her in final rest. The bottom line is it's all about the money! If the family had just chosen to have her casket open for a brief time during the televised funeral they could have avoided this painful graphic image. It's not like we haven't all seen pictures of dead people in a casket before and since Whitney Houston was a living,breathing human being she is subject to the same harsh treatment as any other person deserving of privacy and respect. I just hope that this is the last slap in the face for this family for a long while..... SAD!

I have been following this coverage pretty closely and nowhere have I read or heard the family state she was buried in white. The family has been very closed-mouthed about this whole situation so I'd like to know where people supposedly read or heard this. That is the same coffin that was at her funeral with the brass/gold handles. That is most definitely Whitney so stop with the elaborate conspiracy theories already.

Secondly if you look closley at the picture you see that no one is around...which leads me to believe that whoever took this picture was someone who worked at the funeral home. The whole situation around her death is sad, and its even worse when people profit off of her death.

If the funeral home is equipped with surveillance cameras, the unscrupulous individual that is responsible for the pictures being in circulation, will be discovered and dealt with. Relatives and close friends are allowed to have a few moments alone with the deceased individually, in what is called the slumber room.
Just because there was not a group of people near the casket at the time the pictures were taken, means that friends and relatives were not in the building, one ore more of them could have easily taken a snapshot during some alone time.
The owners and employees of the funeral home know that, they would be hit with heavy lawsuits if they dared pull such a stunt, they would be sued for much more than they were paid by National Enquirer, that's why I believe that a relative or friend is behind this mess.
Folks should stop judging the Enquirer/TMZ/MTO etc. for showing her in the casket. The funeral was dignified & respectful, but Whitney spent most of her life in the public view. Therefore, now the public has a opportunity to view the ***, & see how beautiful she is. And that she is finally at peace.

I do wonder if this is from the movie sparkle because Whitney's hair is in a beehive and the dress is not her style. If she was buried in $500,000 worth of jewelry it shurly isn't seen from this angle. It was wrong of whomever to take and sell these photos if they are indeed of her when she was in the funeral home. I did want to see her but since her family decided in a PRIVATE viewing and a CLOSED CASKET funeral we had no right to see this. It is customary for the casket to be opened for a bit before the service to allow people to view and pay their respects. There are also times where the casket is opened up at the end of the funeral to allow people to view the individual one last time. I have even on a very rare occasion seen the coffin opened at the grave site for a final final viewing but that is ultra rare they usually stay closed while the little final prayer is said.
