: An MTOer saw this greeting card in the "gag" section in Target in Atlanta, GA. They are SO WRONG to be trying to capitalize on her DEATH!!!
This is so photoshopped... do you guys really think we're that naive to believe that Target would put that in their stores

I recently quit working for Target as an L.O.D., and I can honestly say that Target would never allow a card such as that one to be sold in their stores. This has got to be a fake. Looks like a guest/customer went in the store and held their homemade card up next to the other cards to say they "found" it in Target. Yeah, right.
I'm just sitting here shaking my head at MTO today. Y'all need a do over button or something because these stories are a hot, steaming pile of dog dung. I expect y'all to put in some OT today and get prepared for something better tomorrow NOT involving Whitney, Angela Simmons, Rihanna, Kim ***, Lil Wayne or JayZ's ***.
PEOPLE NEED TO OPEN THEIR EYES AND SEE THAT WHITNEY WAS A GROWN WOMAN WHO MADE A DECISION TO BE WITH HER HUSBAND. I HAVE HEARD THAT INITIALLY, SHE WAS INTO DRUGS MORE THAN BOBBY WAS. SHE LOST CONTROL. POINT BLANK. WHITNEY IS VERY LOVEABLE. NOONE WANTS TO BELIEVE THAT SHE SELF DESTRUCTED. EVERONE IS DELUSIONAL AND IN DENIAL. DONT GET ME WRONG. I LOVE WHITNEY AND CRIED LIKE A BABY THROUGHOUT THE FUNERAL, HOWEVER, I AM LOGICAL, RATIONAL AND REASONABLE. WHITNEY WAS THE MAIN PERSON WHO CAUSED HER OWN DEATH.
Uh Oh ... WHAT was that sound I just heard? I THINK that was Fred just telling yet ANOTHER inept MTO flunky to "GET YOUR SH!T AND GET THE *** OUT ... YOU'RE FIRED!"
You know, Fred, to be Sr. Editor of a site that ALWAYS claims to practice so much journalistic integrity when reporting, your staff writers and editors CONTINUOUSLY post stories of a libel and slanderous nature, pictures SO photoshopped and unrealistic that an untrained eye can spot the editing, or stolen material from other credible sites without giving proper credit, which YOU always demand.
You NEED to get your lives right, because THIS is NOT a good look for you. Posting an insensitive story about Ms. Houston, SO close to her recent passing, AND connecting a major retail outlet's name and reputation to it ... Mm mm mm!!! I sure hope your pockets are deep, because the donkey that printed this story MAY have just cost you a FORTUNE in future court litigation. SMMFH!!!
Hey all, the card isn't fake. I am the MTO Reader that sent the tip in. I saw it and was so disgusted I wanted to bring awareness to it. I sent to to Mediatakeout, TMZ and sent an email to my friend a news reporter her in Atlanta. The sole purpose is to bring awareness to it so that it would be removed. Now I don't know if someone decided to make the cards at home and sneak them into Target and place them on the shelf but it was there. They are located at the Target location by Perimeter Mall, a very lucrative part of town.

MediaTakeOut: I just HAD to return to this story to issue you a personal apology after it has proven throughout Target representative's own statements, that this card DOES indeed exist within their inventory, albeit in stores BEFORE Ms. Houston's passing.
Apologies ALSO to the individual who submitted the original story to the staff of MTO; your astute awareness to Target's wreckless conduct to such a sensitive subject matter is to be commended!
And this is a brief summary of the letter I'm sending to Target in response to this matter:
I long ago stopped patronizing your retail outlet once you banned all Salvation Army bell ringers from accepting donations during the December holiday season. As a decorated disabled Air Force veteran of Desert Storm, I have been a direct benefactor of the great services offered by this long-established organization. And their continued efforts in our community is part of the glue that helps our citizens during natural disasters, economic hardships and homelessness.
But the greeting card? Now THIS was a BRAND-NEW low! Even if the card WERE stocked in stores before Ms. Houston's passing ... WHY weren't there immediate, concerted efforts to have them removed upon notice of her death? And WHY was Ms. Houston singled out, ANYWAY? Why didn't you write the card about Amy Winehouse? Or speak about "Bad Girls" and reference Kurt Cobain?
You will NEVER have to worry about me EVER gracing YOUR doors again!
