Here we go.....weaves......I can tell black women how to grow long thick beautiful hair.......this *** is killing women natural ability to grow their own hair. My hair is down my back...and I don't wear weaves nor braids.....and it gets longer daily......All you need to do.....is use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.....pantene is great....use hair oil that promotes growth. Get your ends trimmed once per month. If you use relaxers...my suggestion is to go to the salon. Relax your hair every 3 months. Do not flat iron everyday wrap it up.....use a deep conditioner every two weeks....and before you know your hair will be swinging down your back....stay away from hair weaves and braids.....the oil is the key....I hope this helps someone today........
@msrush02, at first I was like whaththehell? Anyway, thanks for the hairgrowth info although it's different for everyone...taking a good vitamin might also help with hair growth. But back to the headline, I am amazed at all the stars who wear sooooo much weave that they head GOT to be bald underneath. Every show I watch, the black women got tons of weave in their heads. I'd love to see someone doing the natural, halle berry thing again. There's nothing wrong with that. Also, while braid-in weaves makes my hair very healthy in a *** timespan, those women wear the glue ins, which are sure to leave "stripes" in your scalp LOL!!! All the black women on tv look exactly alike -- weaves down to their behinds!

Why dont women take care of they real hair while its done in weave? Under sew-ins and lacefronts continue to nurture the scalp in emollients that help prevent breakage. Women become too reliable on extentions they forget to take care they hair. Thats why some girls have to wear it cause hair broke off. And some have fun can wear hair and weave even blend it good like Gabrielle Union, Sanaa Lathan , Taraji P. Henson, Lela Rochon just to name a few. And if you look to left.lol

I agree with @vanj and @brandarski89. If you wear weaves or lacefronts, still maintain your natural hair. You can't just put extra hair on, then say that's it. Also, make sure you go to a stylist that knows how to maintain your hair. Many celebs shill out thousands to stylists and these people don't help their hair at all. This is even with natural hair, because I've seen some celebs have hairline or edge issues probably because of bad stylists. I've never worn braids or lacefronts, but I do switch between natural, sew ins and wigs with combs. I try to maintain my natural hair growth no matter what style it's in and it always grows fast. I just get bored and switch it up.
