I'm old enough to remember the days when if an artist posed with a colored fan, there would be similar headlines : "R&B Singer Chris Brown is Photo'd In The Club . . . WITH A COON!!!"! And speculation about whether he was just "passing for white", and a whole lot of comments about colored people being disgusting, animals, with Biblical quotes about the "curse of Ham" etc. Guess nothing has changed really.
