: MediaTakeOut.com received EXCERPTS from Vanessa Williams new book, entitled. In it the actress/singer revealed she was molested by the daughter of a family friend when she was just 10 years old.
The Desperate Housewives star bravely recounts the painful experience in her new memoir You Have No Idea, which she co-authored with her mother Helen, and Williams insists it's time she finally went public with her story in a bid to help others.Here is what we got:
Family friends who had a daughter invited me to visit their friends in California with them. The family we stayed with had two kids. Susan, who was 18, smoked, drove a car, and was the epitome of cool. (My friend) Nancy and I slept in the den. One night Susan crept in.DANG . . .
She told me to lie down on the rug. I was confused. Are we going to play a game? As I tried to make sense of it, Susan pulled down the bloomers of my cotton baby-doll pajamas.
'What are you doing?' I asked. 'Don't worry - it'll feel good.' I lay there paralyzed. What was going on? I didn't speak. She kept at (the molestation) for I don't know how long. She slid my bloomers back up and whispered: 'Don't tell anyone.' I climbed into my bed, trying to figure out what had just happened.
For years I kept Susan's visit to myself. I didn't really understand until college. I was with with my boyfriend and it hit me and I blurted it out: 'Oh my god - I was molested!' After that trip I felt something change in me.
Wow this is something that happens more then I could imagine, what does one get out of molesting children how do u even get turned on by the thought of a child, like there aren't any adults out there that enjoys *** as much as the next adult, im sure there were plenty of women that this woman could've performed sexually with, its sad I guess the devil stays busy ,

I don't have any respect for her anymore. I find it a huge coincidence that all these celebrities "reveal" being "molested" when promoting a new book. All the countless interviews they've given throughout their careers and it always comes out when a book tour is occurring. But I guess being "molested" isn't required to sell albums or promote a movie or tv show. Wonder if rick fox ever heard this story? Smh @ vanessa!
And for those who think only men molest children .... This goes to show that a pervert comes in any form.
I am fortunate by the grace of God to have never been through anything like that through my childhood.

To be totally honest out of all the close girlfriends I have had over the years from H.S to college through my 10yr career with the same company I have never met a woman who has not been touched in appropriately at some time during their childhood. One of my redneck coworkers told me her grandfather died in jail while serving a sentence for raping her. My guy come from a big family of nothings. He has a habit of leaving his 2 beautiful daughters with his sister. Only problem is his sister has 4 grown azz sorry sons that still live with her several days out the week. It depend on when this & that jumpoff get tired of them laying around & put them out. I pray everytime those girls are over there but u can't tell a man nothing. THEY FAM! THEY WOULD NEVER HURT MY GIRLS. Most people are molested by FAM!!!!

Vanessa Williams is not alone statistics say 1 in 3 girls...1 in 3! So if you can count then most everyone you come in contact with can claim this type of abuse by some person who had authority over them while growing up. Sadly enough 1 in 6 men are also sexually abused and it is most often times the people entrusted to care for the child whether it be parents,cousins,uncles,aunts,grandpas,coaches,priests and those good ole friends.
