According to sources the Minister of Culture was invited to initiate the party by doing a ”clitoridectomy” on the cake, which is visible on the above image.

Clearly the social message that this "performance" was supposed to deliver was overshadowed by the artist's selfish attempt at notariety. Some people will sell their souls to the devil for a little sliver of fame. Though the artist's racist depiction of an african tribe woman being mutilated is disturbing enough, what is more apalling is the fact that everyone is standing around taking pictures and laughing at this spectacle. Probably the most disturbing thing about this event is a child was photographed as part of the crowd. Are we now teaching our children that this buffoonery is acceptable in today's world? What has happened to our MORAL COMPASS as human beings????? This is not funny nor is it art. It is disgusting and makes light of a very serious and ghastly practice. All who were present at this event and those who have viewed this foolery should be disgusted. Swedish Minister of Culture, Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth's has some serious explaining to do.

You can't make a judgement by just reading this article and seeing one picture. The whole subject is totally out of context. The artist who made the cake is black and the cake is about the western world taking pieces out of the African continent/about female genital mutilation. The Swedish culture minister didn't know anything else but to be there and cut a cake. The audience is laughing cause she is feeding the head with cake, and most of the persons including the minister was in bit of a shock.
That was an artistic event where the artist (the one whose head is coming up from the table at the top of the cake) wanted it presented that way. IN CASE YOU DIDN'T NOTICE SHE IS BLACK. It was an event in regards to the female mutilation women go through in Africa and the pictures were totally taken out of context cause that's how the media do. Instead of delving more into the situation...... and finding out what the event was about ........and talking more about the actual issue they want to talk about other ***. GTFOH. This is the only way to get mf's attention nowadays anyway when you want to be heard. I don't blame them at all.
