JMLRH - the only thing you see wrong with this pic is homegirl wearing socks with sandals? Lol. The problem is parents being too busy and "stressed" to be parents. Be INVOLVED in your children's lives and give consequences for behavior. Children are a product of their environments more often than not. So if YOU condone behavior, act that way yourselves or find entertainment that glorifies ratchet behavior appealing, so will your kids.
I'm so glad I had active parents in my life that kept me busy in activities, to busy to be getting caugh up in that ratchetness..... Sad reality is that most if not all of these little girls won't even take the time out to make good choices in life to become successful for the sake of those babies.... I tell young girls all the time A MAN, A PIECE OF ***, AND A BABY AT A YOUNG AGE IS NOT THE ANSWER TO LIFE SUCCESS!!!!! Go to school, get educated that way you'll have better to choose from when you do start dating... cause don't no dam real man want a uneducated female with a house full of babies that can't get a job.... Oh and I'll bet anyone that majority of these girls will be pregnant again after these babies drop cause they think it's cute now..... I had my first and only child at 27 with a good stable job... and it's still hard for me.... SMH my generation need to get it together...
I saw on the news that some white girls did the same thing. They also made a movie about it. If people stop looking at race when it comes to things like this we could try to come together to help these lost children. Let's be honest, all parents are failing. White, black, and Hispanic. If you're a single parent why would you not try to make sure your child doesn't walk the same path you did! I am super hard on my daughter because I don't want her to think having a child at a young age is cute or the thing to do. My husband, her father, takes her out every Sunday for daughter/father day! He tells her she is beautiful, special and he talks to her about boys and all the lies they'll tell her just to get in her panties! Parents y'all need to start being responsible for the *** y'all bringing into this world! Single mothers make sure you daughters have a good relationship with their father. If he doesn't want you, don't stop him from being a father to his daughter; because these girls is what your daughter will aspire to become! And fathers if you are in your daughters lives, tell her she's beautiful and spend time with her and talk to her, you'll be surprise to know how much she appreciate it and open up to you! Adults are worst than kids in todays era so why ridicule adolscents for their behavior when adults act like children themselves? Most kids raise themselves so why be so harsh on the kids? One thing I do know is.....everybody has problems and dysfunctional families....including your own. Be careful how you talk about other people because tables do turn and God will allow you to eat the very words you speak negative about others. And thats a fact, not an opinion baby.

Even tho I'm not married to my daughter's father, he still partakes in her life just as much as I do. He spends time with my daughter the same way. We both take responsibilty for her and we are raising her to be a respectable young lady. I see the lack of real parenting everyday and it makes me thank God that her father and I are stand up parents.
I like the idea of a pregnancy pact. Those girls were going to become pregnant young anyhow, but not they have a support group. When the first one dropouts of high school, the others will have a babysitter. When they go for their wic check-ups and foodstamp renewal, they can car pool. When all their baby daddies leave them, trust me they will, they'll have someone to *** to for hours on the phone. So, young ladies, if you are going to ruin your life, at least talk a few idiots into joining you for support. Why do you think gangs are still around?

Wow that is truly disturbing that these young women are throwing their whole lives away to have babies so young. We are misguided as a people and a person or child will do what they want to do with or without a parents involvement. Unfortunately it happens to often in our community. Where are the boys or men that are responsible for this as well. Yes, this is sad but we can't teach truth if all we know as adults are lies.
@ the_scorpio well stated!!! i see a lot of negative comments on here but I know for a fact that everybody has some kind of connection to where they know or are a victim of the same ***.. teenage pregnancy, so all i can say to that is, raise them children, teach, prepare, and influence them to make good decisions and how to love and respect themselves so they can learn to love and respect everything around them, Lack of self love teaches hate and insecurity and it leads to *** up decision making in life.
So sad, it's like the early 1990s after 12 years of Republican rule, the country always falls apart and it takes years to get back together. These young girls should be encouraged to *** for more, beginning with an education and career. They will be able to have kids down the road. This is what you see when hope walks out the door.

This is terribly sad. Unfortunately, these young girls are the future of America. What is there to look forward to when young black girls aspire to get pregnant over furthering their education? Fortunately, there may still be hope. I am an 18 year-old male and I live in Mississippi. I can't speak for anyone else but I know what I am willing to do to be sure that neither I nor my legacy is tainted. If you can help it, surround yourself with people that are going where you wish to go in life. Life is tough and it's only getting tougher. Do something about it.
The really sad part is they think it's cute. That is nothing to brag about. They should be embarrassed.
