The sign is in English because that's what their client base consists of...English speaking perverts (usually businessmen on travel) who like to have *** with little girls. They used the vulgar sense of the word, because they believe it's how we normally refer to it. Non-Americans think Americans are trashy.
That's true. I watched a *** called "*** girl" where they interviewed a waitress/prostitute and there were crowds of nothing but older white men with young Asian girls. The girls there are encouraged to work in brothels because they are paid so little money doing regular jobs, its considered normal..and this sign is gross they are still pimping girls even when on their cycle. ..its very sad.
Ok first things first, Ransom, stfu. MTO and they're little silly stories isn't going to lead to more pedophiles going to Thailand, they already know. So enjoy the soap opera that is the website and get off you soap box. With that being said, I have a great about the prostitute game out there: I was stationed in Thailand when I was in the military in the 90's. While I was there, a fellow serviceman went out drinking and went to one of the brothels. A few days later, homey had to see the doctor on base because he got burnt by whoever he was smashing that ***. The doctor treats him, but a few hours later, Thai police show up and want talk to him. They talk to our superiors first, who then give permission for ol' dude to go with them. They don't cuff him, and he gets in the car scared as hell. A few hours later he comes back with this look of relief on his face. What happened? we ask. Police made him take them to the brothel, and point out the chick who burned him. They tell the owner that the chick burned homeboy, and that she can't sell anymore P%$$Y until she get's it taken care of. If she didn't, she and the owner would be taken to jail. How real is that?? The next weekend, we go out to drink and see some muay thai fights. And we saw the same burnt chick with a sign similar to the one in the pic, above. Thailand is one gangster *** country.
It's so sad how any site can make an insensitive, careless joke about the tragedy that is prostitution, especially in places like Thailand where CHILDREN are the most vulnerable victims of the business. A *** is being called "Gansta" for requiring this woman to wear a sign that devalues her even more! Smh. I know prostitution is the oldest profession and a lot of women do it voluntarily but there is so much that is wrong with this picture, literally and figuritively. Ladies, we need to wake up and realize how much women are marginalized and victimized around the world. First step is awareness. The next step is planting a seed of change to make things better for our daughters, neices, granddaughters, so on and so forth.
What we say and do over here in America is Peanuts compare to other countries. There are 200,000 to 300,000 prostituted persons in Thailand. Prostituted persons are mainly adult women, but there are also male, transvestite and child prostitutes, both girls and boys. Northern girls in Thailand are prized for their pale complexions so tok khiao or ''fishing for the green" is particularly prevalent in that part of the country (khiao is the colour of tender young rice ***). Girls are recruited for the *** industry in the following way: an agent for a brothel or ''massage parlour" (often a former prostitute herself) visits a poor village to scout out likely recruits. Her prey are girls reaching the end of their compulsory term of primary education – usually students in Prathom 5 or 6 Having identified a potential candidate, the agent then visits the girl's parents and offers a down-payment in cash for their daughter. When the girl finishes primary school, usually around the age of 11 or 12, the agent returns to make the final payment and receive delivery of the ''goods". Sad :-(
