: The cast of the 1990s hit sitcom MOESHA have been struck with AN INEXPLICABLE NUMBER of tragedies in recent years - leading many to think that the show WAS CURSED!!
So far here is what happened to the castmembers:
1. Actor Merlin Santana was MURDERED while sitting in his car, he was 26 years old. 2. Actor Lamont Bentley died in a mysterious car crash. 3. Brandy unintentionally KILLED a woman, in a freak car accident.Now MediaTakeOut.com can CONFIRM that Yvette Wilson, best known for her role as Andell Wilkerson on Moesha, is suffering from a VERY AGGRESSIVE form of cancer. How aggressive, well unless she gets TOP SPECIALISTS, it doesn't look good for her. Yvette has experienced kidney failure, kidney transplants and cervical cancer. And while her cancer was in REMISSION, doctors say it's back . . . and it’s very aggressive this time out.

SMH & Yvette was "Andell" on BOTH "Moesha" & "The Parkers". BECAUSE "The Parkers" was a spin-off of "Moesha" So grow up & check your facts. PPl are coming at MTO saying their facts are wrong when they are in fact wrong. MTO finally got something correct. Romeo did play Moesha's boyfriend in the first episode. Correct. Yvette Wilson played the character Andelle on Moesha FIRST. She owend the club joint called the den. THat character moved to the parkers show as part of their moesha spinoff.
Ok it's sad and all, but it was her responsibility to invest and grow her money in order to secure her financial future. Why ask people -most who have never made her salary and who never will- to fund her treatment?
asap_glo - I didn't even watch any of their *** azz shows, yet even I know that Yvette's, Mo'Nique's, and Countess' characters were direct Moesha spin-off characters. ***, if you're going to sit in front of a computer, use it to look things up before you mention 'checking facts'. I didn't know Romeo had gone to be with the Lord. He was one of my favorite male actors and I'm always wondering why I did see him in any movies or another sitcom. Wow. Sorry to hear this. My prayers are with aunt Dell aka Miss Yvette she's always smiling and seems to have a heart of gold, God bless her.
The girl that had a crush on Merlin's character on Moesha at the time was "Taylor" Played by actress Melinda Williams of Soul Food the tv show fame! A little something for the youngins.. Oh and Moesha is on syndication BET during the week.. Tape it and catch up.
