: The streets of Prince Georges county COMMANDEERED the rims off this police car. Yeah . . . the streets are really THAT CRAY!!!
Man please, the words hood and Prince George's County don't even go together. I'm from Baltimore so I can confidently say that PG County is just a bunch of frustrated suburban kids who commits crimes just because they can. They're not underlying need for survival attached to their crime: just a bunch of spoiled kids robbing, fighting, and hurting in a desperate, immature attempt to look "cool". PG County is the richest African-American suburb in the country; it's far from a "hood" place. Now Baltimore on the other hand lol....
........SO THE CAR GOT AN FLAT TIRE...................
.....THE GOVERNMENT USE CHEAP TIRES...............
...........IT WOULD TAKE TEN YEARS..................
......TO PUT THAT LITTLE PIECE OF ROCK.....
................TO HOLD UP THAT CAR...........
.....WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER TO STEAL THE CAR.............
I don't know yall; I really don't think that PG County as a whole is that bad. There may be some ratchet areas (sadly enough, anywhere you have Section 8, there's gonna be crime), but there are some very beautiful and prosperous communities there. Like I said before, it's considered the most affluent African American county in the US. As far as Baltimore City goes, there really aren't any rich African American communities anymore. Most of them have either moved to Baltimore County (Owings Mills, Randallstown) or moved to other parts of MD (if they stayed here at all)
For all you youngin's that don't know what the f..*** you're talking about let me set the record straight. First, that is definitely a PG County squad car that got jacked. I see that all the time in the parking lot of my apt. complex, but a cop car that's a first for me. Them crackheads ain't playing. Second, yes PG is the most populated and wealthiest african american county in the country. I believe Dekalb County is #2 and at one time #1. PG County has been messed up since before I was born. PG county was second to LA county in police brutality cases, so bad to the point that the feds had to step in just like they did in LA to stop those practices committed by the police department. We didn't have to go to LA to get Rodney Kingâd. One guy Terrence Johnson killed two PG officers for whipping his azz and was eventually set free after years of legal battle just to end up robbing a bank and killing himself. I see a bamma from B-more had to chime in. I can see where the B-more bamma is coming from though. The entire city of B-more is hood and they look at the part of the county that is closest to them. Yes North and some parts of Mid county like Mitchellville were the rich folks live not a lot of crime happens there (Laurel has a lot of B-more folks living there and is the half-way point between DC and B-more), but when you start talking about the cities on the southern tip of the county that boarders DC then that's where the trouble begins. You might as well still be in DC. District Heights, Suitland, Hillcrest Heights, Capital Heights, Marlow Heights, Landover, Seat Pleasant, Oxon Hill, Fairmount Heights, Forestville, Temple Hills, some parts of Fort Washington, Palmer Park, Hyattsville,Glenardon, New Carrollton and Mt. Rainer are all sections of the county that you do not want any parts of. They account for those almost 200 murders a year and that's just the county not DC. Thank god the rate is down to about a 100 a year now and I hope to see it decline even further, but like someone said them crazy azz DC cats getting that section 8 and are moving to PG in droves. Most of these cities I mentioned you can walk across the street or take a two minute car ride and be right back in DC. When I was in third grade the first person to get killed for a pair of Air Jordan's in the entire country was in PG. That incident happened right behind our school in Bladensburg. Also, dudes used to drive Benzes to school and cats were only like in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade paying cash money for them joints. B-more bamma speak on only the stuff that you truly know. I've seen too many people suffer in PG for years. We might have a little more than you, but we suffer just like people that live right outside of major cities around the country. Just because the county is rich doesnât mean we are. Your beloved 2 pac lived in the richest county in Cali but had to suffer in the hood out there. I know bamma he lived in B-more and NY before then. You might as well say the same thing about Compton, Gary-Indiana, Cook County, Dekalb County, the joint outside of Dallas-Ft. Worth, Camden-NJ (outside of Philly), etc. *** out to the DMV, DC, PG, Richmond, Petersburg my people on the west and east sides of B-more especially my folks on North Ave with ya'll crazy azz's (got to hit up Patapsco Market and the Royal Farms across the street before I head out to the west side..lol) and my folks in Randallstown. I don't hate all of you...just the bamma's and I believe @born2dance1988 to house music is probably from B-more county because my folks on North Ave know about Suitland. They were like you might as well move to B-more. @born2dance1988 to house music doesnât even come off as a real B-more cat but a B-more bamma. Your card has been pulled.
PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY, MARYLAND IS THE RICHEST COUNTY FOR AFRICAN AMERICANS. THERE ARE NO TRUE HOODS THERE. THE ONLY "HOOD" PARTS OF PG IS THOSE CITIES CLOSER TO DC (SEAT PLEASANT, DISTRICT HEIGHTS, SUITLAND, ECT.) IN PG, THE MORE FARTHEST YOU ARE FROM DC, THE MORE BOUGIE IT GETS. IM FROM PG, I LIVE IN THE BOUGIE PART. DON'T TRY TO DEGRADE US MTO.
(CONT.) THE ONLY ONES THAT ARE MESSING IT UP FOR US ARE THOSE HOODRATS AND RATCHETS PEOPLE FROM DC THAT MOVING OUT HERE. I WISH THE GOVERNMENT WOULD END SECTION 8 IN PG COUNTY, BECAUSE WITHOUT THEM, WE WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE. (YOU GHETTO DC SECTION 8 LIVING PEOPLE ARE NOT WELCOME TO PG COUNTY, STAY THE F-UCK AWAY FROM US CLASSY PEOPLE) I DONT MIND DC PEOPLE LIVING IN PG, BUT IF YOU ARE GHETTO TRASH AND/OR LIVING ON SECTION 8, STAY THE HELL OUT!!! DON'T EVEN SHOP IN OUR STORES!!!!! YOU GUYS ARE NOT WELCOMED. THE END.
We arent Ghetto... We are just fearless. Of course we get a lil grimey at times... We are the county that borders the worst parts of DC... But we are also the county with the richest black town/neighborhood per capita... So yeah... We aint ghetto, we fearless. *** OUT TO THE HOMIE KEVIN DURANT!!! Win at least 1 for PGC!
@Gorgeous Killa: You said "BB-more bamma speak on only the stuff that you truly know" ..You need to take your own advice. Just because you visit your relatives in the hood on North Avenue and the west side, doesn't mean you know jack about Baltimore. The entire city is NOT hood...there are lovely neighborhoods in Baltimore with mansions, huge lots and beautiful parks, such as Homeland, Guilford, Roland Park and Mount Washington. There are also lovely neighborhoods in more urban settings, including Harbor East and Locust Point (with $1 million condos) and Mount Vernon and Bolton Hill, which both have big townhouses (aka rowhouses) and parks. Just because they never showed neighborhoods like this on "The Wire" doesn't mean they don't exist. No, I won't deny that Baltimore (my hometown and current residence) has some very scary looking neighborhoods that were accurately depicted in "The Wire." But by no means does the entire city look like that.
Judging from the length of your post, Killa (the longest I've even seen on MTO!), you have an awful lot of time on your hands. Maybe next time you should do a little research before exposing your ignorance for all to see.
@LoisLane2 thank you for the informative post. You truly are an articulate woman as you were able to inform without being disrespectful like a lot of people on this site. Baltimore does have some beautiful neighborhoods; I should have said that originally. Homeland is beautiful as are those brownstones on Eutaw St and around Druid Hill. The saddest part about Baltimore is just how drugs have completely ravaged this city. It's stripped down the sense of community, the educational system, and the safety that people used to feel in their neighborhoods. My whole family is from West Baltimore so the older relatives would always tells us how Pennsylvania Avenue looked back in the 50s: especially all the glitz and glamour of the Royal Theatre.
My point in ***, is that PG County is all in all a nice area. They may have some splashes of hood here and there, but the crime isn't anywhere near as concentrated as Baltimore. It's amazing how anyplace Section 8 is found, there's a ridiculous amount of crime. Look at how they destroyed Carriage Hill out Randallstown.
PG is as hood as bmore and dc, point blank. Yes it is one of the richest counties in America, but really murder rates are high and crime is rampant. whorunthis you aint classy you read read MTO for crying out loud. I live in Little DC (THATS PG COUNTY FOR THOSE WHO DIDNT KNOW) and though my neighborhood is ok I know that 2minutes in any direction could be an issue for someone that isnt streetsmart, Anytime the *** police headquaters is located in one of the worst areas(right across the street) and you still cant get help in 5mins you know you are hood!!
"PG County is the richest African-American suburb in the country" ...... OH, now THAT is rich.
Whenever I have business in PG county I inform clients that, they'd best set my corp suite in another *** area...at least 30 minutes from PG - preferably an hour OR MORE from; and I charge them way more than other clients that I do business with. Want me to come to PG for business? It's $20,000 upfront and double that when I've completed my work. Because I travel so much, I have to research every place I fly to ... this place is all kinds of hood --even in places that may appear aesthetically okay on the outside. Hell, car insurance is high in PC because of the amount of thefts. Last time I was there (in a an aesthetically "nice" looking area), a woman stopped into a place to buy batteries for a security remote. The worker asked if she wanted a clip so that she could attach the remote to her visor. She declined, stating that she was afraid someone may see it and want to steal it. She then left....she was back a little over 5 minutes later. While she was getting her batteries for the remote, her car was broken into... they'd taken a front seat, removed the dash, tried to take the doors - all 4 were open, but only 1 was unhinged, etc.. Seriously, all she did was come in to get those tiny batteries for a security remote -in and out- ....and the cops didn't want to come out because they were practically tired of dealing with this ***-hood area...........nice looking or not (though most of PC looked like ***).
PG has nice, old areas like New Carrollton and Bowie and Mitchellville that have held on to the safe, community-oriented environment that PG once was. More recently the places further out like Upper Marlboro, Largo, and Clinton have been seeing redeveolpment and an influx of young black professionals. but all points in between are a hot ghetto mess. PG is RATCHET. I grew up in Mo County, but at one point i lived in PG in a nicer, older neighborhood. and although it was safe and quiet, there was the feeling that it wouln't be long before the hood would begin encrouching on one of the last decent neighborhoods in the county- people renting out a million rooms so there rae 50 ppl living next door in a 4 br house, people from the apartments wandering into the neigborhood causing crime, helicopters flying overhead at ***... i had to bounce. sad but true. and let's not even get started on the school system....
@born2dance1988 first off you live in BMORE which explains why your hating and know little to nothing about PG there is absolutely nothing about PG County that is suburban by far . PG County is low income infested don't like the outdoor decor fool you by far. I'm from DC and PG county is less than 5minutes away from me where as though its 45 minute from u. Stop hating.
@louislane 2...I know exactly what I'm talking about. I've been all around B-more and the whole city is basically the hood. I know of the area's you have mentioned. Yeah, they're nice but if you go a block or two over your back in the funk. Thatâs like Capitol Hill. The only thing you guys have going for you is the harbor and little Italy next to it. Celebrities live in b-more too so what was your point there? Another bamma came out of the closet trying to defend the first bamma I called out earlier. I go back and forth with my partners and family members in b-more about this because they always bring this topic up like theyâre so much more gangsta then we are. I have come to the conclusion that we have too many of you bammaz hanging off of our nuts and *** and by the way we refuse to claim yaâll bammaz. The M in DMV stands for PG and Moco. How could we big up a city whose dress code contains capri *** and whose soundtrack in life (house/bounce music) is similar to that of the Castro district in San Fran. We try to respect you, give you some props the whole nine but yaâll back more bammafied than ever. Bamma azz Bammaz.
PUTTING PG COUNTY ON DA MAP LLS MISS MY CITY...BOUT IT BEING RICH THATS A LITTLE OVER THEY TOP CAUSE REALLY ONLY LIKE TWO CITIES HAVE BREAD BOWIE AND UPPER MARLBORO EVERY OTHER CITY IS STRUGGLING .....BUT "*** PG POLICE THEM DIRTY *** COPS" THEY DESERVE EVERYTHING COMING TO THEM ............DMV BABY.............FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM@DEEJAY1221
@bigdeebo128 WHAT DOES READING MTO HAVE TO DO WITH CLASS? PG IS NOT AS HOOD AS DC AND BMORE. YOU SOUND LIKE YOU LIVE CLOSE TO DC; FAR FROM MY NEIGHBORHOOD. YOU SOUND LIKE YOU ARE ONE OF THE THOSE WHO ARE TRYING TO MAKE PG A HOOD OR A TACKY PLACE TO LIVE IN. I BET IF YOU ARE A TEEN, YOU REP DC HOOD, OR WHEN YOU WAS A TEEN, YOU WOULD REP DC HOODS. CHILD PLEASE, STOP CRYING AND MOVE OUT TO SE DC SINCE THATS WERE YOU SOUND LIKE YOU BELONG.
PG County is the richest black county because of Bowie & Upper Marlboro. Now Bmore is crazy, i'll give u that, but dont speak on stuff u dont know about. Most of PG is just folks that moved from DC to get a house or try to make their lives better. But like @Gorgeous Killa said, there are parts u dont want to mess with. i can drive u from PG to DC and u wont have a clue when you switched over unless i tell u. I'm not bragging on PG, but until u go there & and show me a video of u yelling F**k PG and not getting a 2 piece & a biscuit i dont wanna hear it.
I never understood how Richmond & Bmore got mixed in with the DMV talk bcuz there styles are no where close to ours
@marcdre
Prince George's County overall is a very nice area, but there are a lot of spoiled brats who adopt the street thug mentality knowing good and well it's uncalled for. With the exception of DC transplants, just about all the so called "thugs" in PG County don't have to struggle to survive like the misguided youth in most urban areas; those bad azzes wreck havoc just because they want to. The punk azz, thug wannabes in PG have parents making 6 figures from govt. jobs and live in half million dollar homes. I've met kids from other cities who had to beg, borrow, and steal to make it, and who felt forced to sell drugs to care for their younger siblings, so to see these phonies who get into trouble just because their mommies and daddies spend to many hours at the office so they can buy these brats $200 tennis shoes makes me want to puke.
This is definitely not funny. If this individual is found I hope they make an example of him or her. By giving him time in jail with as many charges as possible, fines & community services. As for the person speaking on section 8 certificate I definitely feel you. It's unfortunate but section 8 certificates have created new hoods. What once may have been good neighborhoods are now the hoods. The purpose of the certificate was to allow the recipient to live outside of the projects, but they are moving in neighborhoods in clusters thus creating a new kind of project.
@Tony84, that car could have a flat, could be photoshopped, and that logo could be made on a computer. Why try to be hood? Is that a badge of honor? PG is like any other county. Crime is everywhere. And to the idiot from Baltimore City, one giant slum, you people CHOOSE to be hood. Get a job at Mickey D and stop blaming society for your choices. When I left high school I went to college at Morgan and got loans and worked too. Stop trying to "out-hood" someone else. That's sad. Baltimore City has had corrupt leaders in politics and in education all based on CHOICES! I come to. MTO for laughs not for serious and reliable "hood journalism".
Actually whorunthis, I am from DC and I lived and survived CLIFTON TERRACE APTS on 14th and Clifton(UPTOWN BABY), and yes I do now live in PG, Oh yeah did I mention I work in Bmore city, so I can whithout a doubt speak on this topic There is no fakin about PG again its called LITTLE DC for a reason, Bmore city is trife and filled heroin addicts yeah you hood to but you aint near what we have down here. Seriously yall TRY and i give you an E for effort but that all you got is effort to be what we are. Sorry
