I love how MTO always has to point out adopted children. If you ask the parents, they'll say that's their child, no adoption mentioned. That's her daughter. Cut the ***. Who cares what race she is? In my 29 years, I've met only 2 black families that adopted kids and 8 white families that adopted, 1/2 took in black kids. So until YOU step up and take in a child in need, don't comment on others races that do. Amen.

my only concern is that her husband is holding a white toddler but he isn't in the main pic with them....I love the fact that people adopt children. the media needs to stop making it a black/white issue....and stop sensationalizing the black babies. where's the family pic with them and the little white boy?

Why do you feel the need to mention the child's race? A child is a child, regardless of race. She's really cute, and it seems like Mariska really loves her, you can tell. I'm happy for them!

This is so ignorant! her adopted black baby? and she may be the cutest of all the adopted babies? What grown person in their right mind sits and compares the cuteness of babies smh all babies are beautiful no matter how they look because they're all innocent.

Interesting those of us who probably have children noticed that something just doesn't feel right about that husband of hers. It's almost like he indulged her with this black adoption thing but never thought she'd actually go through with it. Something is not right here and I'm glad I wasn't the only one to sense it. @AversionToIgnorance: Far be it from me to defend MTO, but you are overreacting. It's true that the headline writers did not have to point out the race of the baby, but they clearly did not do it in an attempt to criticize this woman. If anything, they tend to be very complimentary to white celebrities who adopt non-white babies. Also, your personal experience with adopted families is not relevant to this story.

@Ransomed and Vols, I did notice that the dad seemed to have a weird look on his face, but I wouldn't speculate too much off of one picture of a man I don't know. Pictures can be deceiving. Remember the pick circulating a while back in which Obama seemed to be ogling some woman's behind but it turned out that he wasn't, and that *** a** Sarkozy was the true culprit? Even if this man is awkward with the baby, it may have nothing to do with race--some men just aren't crazy about their kids when they're babies.

Regardless of race every child need a good home...I love seeing stuff like this

@sarai_juelz youre ignorant as hell judging them off the strength of one picture. there are plenty of photos of all of them together. they are a full family and she loves all of her kids. there are pics of the husband holding the black baby...and there are pix of her holding the white baby. youre not always going to be holding one baby at all times. babies are handed around.
