The whole Tip thing is a scam. Restaurants GROSSLY underpay their servers and expect their Customers to make up for it. If these Workers were getting paid what they DESERVED, customers would tip if only they wanted to without having to feel like they are such horrible people. It is not the Customers' job to pay the Workers extra money on top of their service. Its a nice gesture but it should be the BOSSES job to RIGHTFULLY pay their employees. I worked in the Industry and I was paid next to nothing while the bosses expected my TIPS to pay my bills. When I didn't get tips? They didn't give a fk...they collected all their money while I went and fled myself. Its truly disgusting how Business owners and the people with REAL money get away with this. Genius on their part

Everyone is assuming this is real! Anyone can get a hold of a bill and write that! First off people are cheap all over the word and of course you will get some bizarre behavior out of anyone without a lot of money but feeling ashamed because everyone is assuming they have something in common with that person, is stupid. That's why there's a stereotype that black people do not tip. A dollar would have made a difference. Hell, i even tip a twenty for a simple lunch at Golden Corral. I never worked for tips, but i know it's hard. My sister works at a restaurant and can get anywhere from 50 to 300 a ***. Usually under a hundred including the three bucks an hour. She deals with more attitude from customers in a day than i did in a week working as a manager in retail. Just tip the people or eat at home.
My auntie told me a story years ago. A man who looked homeless came into a cafe. None of the waitresses would wait on him. One waitress helped him, and in return, he left her a tip large enough to pay FOR HER COLLEGE EDUCATION! Never judge a book by it's cover. Waiters and Waitresses DO deserve to be tipped, if they did their job well. I've been accused of tipping too much, and I don't care.Try standing on your feet 8 hours at a time, and deal with the policy of "The customer is always right."
Don't believe the whole ratchet looking part as you MTO have too many tendencies to over exaggerate! You said that to further rile up silly, unsuspecting commenters and they fell for it. You wanted them to go in on black women as non-tippers. You got non-tippers in every race, no matter how good of a job the waiter/waitress does. Why are you expected to tip? Because the server took your order and brought it to your table? That s*#t is not worth a tip. Instead of hating on the customer, you should hate on the owner of the resturant that is working people like slaves and not paying them! Why would you take a job where the boss says I'm gonna work you til you drop and I'm paying you as little money as I can get away with...and if you want real money you need to beg for it from the customers. What part of that makes you say thats the job for me? Here is a tip...FIND A BETTER F*%KING JOB THAT PAYS! Do we tip Doctors...policeman...fireman...the cable man...professors and teachers? Hell no, so why do you think I need to tip you for moving my food from point A to point B?
@cinful yeah I use to think the same thing but mo @ykydaw she is doing the same thing she get a lot of stuff from no way girl and epic fail so I guess they all do it, But back to the story people like this make it hard for those who tip, if the service was *** don't tip but to eat out and you cant tip what 20% on $14.00 tab keep your broke as at home or better yet order out.

That person should not be eating out. As for those who think waiters are not the most important people and doctors more so, you have a point. Your doctor bills reflect that. In this society, it's just that we all know that someone is WAITing on you, SERVING YOU, bringing you every *** napkin, drink, refill, type of sugar, extra syrup; making sure everything is ok, etc so YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO GET UP... It is waiting on you hand and foot, and if someone can do all that with a smile and swiftness, so you can step out and enjoy a great meal, well like I said, we are a society and the civilized have long-ago established that this SERVICE garners a tip... just like your barber, bell person, mail person at holidays, and the rest. It is just custom. CAN'T KEEP UP, DON'T EAT OUT!!! For the love of hard-working people... Don't ruin someone's day. It is a part of eating at a restaurant. Dang. Also, the waiters tip the dishwashers, etc so you dont have to do the dishes. It's all just a part of how restaurants work in this civilization.

They give me bad service because I'm Black and I show them what bad service and pre-judging gets them. I tip very well, but only when they deserve it whether it's Waffle House, Justin's, wherever. And again MTO is a puppett for trying to further racism against us.
Looks like a Pizza Hut receipt. >__> I place an order online, go to pick it up, & they always ask if I want to leave a tip (& to write it on the receipt). For what?! I came to pick it up, not dining in, & they sure didn't go out of their way to do anything special. So I write a big azz cero on it.

This funny as hell! I read how ppl saying if you dont have money to tip dont go eat...WTF!!! Obviously they had what they needed for what they wanted to eat right!!?? I will give what I think the person deserve hell even when you go to a buffet they want tips...uhmmm didnt I make my own plate IJS. Im not a cheap person but dont expect everyone 2 be able to give more than what they have. I also read up top how someone explained that the resturants or buisness need to pay waiters better and not make them depend on their tips I agree because if its a slow *** you go home with nothing anyway and you wasted hours for nothing at least pay them min. wage at least when its a group of 6/8 or more its automatically added in the bill.
I'll say it again: if you can't afford the tip, you can't afford the meal. There are food options for every budget and every diet. Not all of them require tips. If you don't feel like tipping or acting like you've been in public before, you have no business in a restaurant.
If you're really that upset about how the restaurants treat servers, you *** be giving them your money.
