: MediaTakeOut.com is SAD to announce that actress Yvette Wilson, who played ANDELL on Moesha and The Parkers died yesterday. She had been battling cervical cancer.
We told you a few weeks ago that she needed financial assistance to help pay for medical care and YOU GUYS RESPONDED. Within a few days of our post, Yvette received close to $20,000 in donations.
She reached out to us and asked us to THANK YOU GUYS for your support. She was 48 years old.
Yes, unfortunately people ..this story is 100% true.
Rest in peace, Yvette Wilson, your kind-heartlessness shined on such shows as "Moesha". I always loved your spirit. I remember the role that made me laugh - y'all remember her as Rita on "Friday."-
Keep them laughing up in Heaven
My condolences to all who had the privileged of knowing and loving her.
:( sad day
Cancer sucks!!!!
It took my cousin away from me back in Jan. she suffered from the same cancer Yvette had (cervical & colon),
I still haven't fully recovered ..
It is so sad that you find it more important to report on a stupid fight between drake and chris brown, kim kardashian's booty pics, and all other irrelevant news, but post the death of Yvette Wilson last. How sad and pathetic. You guys have no regard for true beauty and talent. Black media SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

So very Sorry to hear that she lost her life to Cervical cancer which is a UGLY disease. I believe these "Greedy" pharmaceutical companies have a cure for all these life threatening diseases we face as a nation, they just find a way for you to live with them instead of providing a cure . Early detection or a hysterectomy are key solutions for women to consider in dealing with Cervical Cancer. Ice cube was looking forward to gathering all his original cast for another Friday movie, but unfortunately Yvette A.***.A Ms. Jackson won't be there and she will be missed! God bless & comfort her family.
I was shocked when I first seen this on Facebook. I was more familiar with her on The Parkers. She was funny on there as well as on the part she played on Friday. RIP and my condolences to her family. She'll be missed.
Pretty messed up that this is at the BOTTOM of the stories for today. Really?!?! SMH
Sorry to hear this - she was a good actress! This should have been TOP news on this URBAN website or at least it should have been posted before the same old TIRED Kim ***'s "booty." (which I DID NOT click on to see). I guess it would have been too much for M. T. O. to have given us a little more background on Yvette.
RIP Yvette Wilson, that is so sad. I loved her on Moesha and Friday. I doubt she reached out to MTO like someone dying of something so vicious really has time to visit a gossip site. I think there's a cure to cancer too but unfortunately if everyone was cured of cancer drug companies would lose too much money from people not needing them anymore. Why else would doctors prescribe people medicines they don't need? A lot of doctors work for drug companies too. Its sad to see how many people lose their lives to this every year.
WHY WOULD YOU EXPECT THE MEDIACOONOUT COONS TO PUT THIS STORY FIRST? SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED BLACK WOMAN WHO STAYED OUT OF TROUBLE, WAS FUNNY, AND HAD A GOOD CAREER.
BECAUSE SHE'S NOT STICK THIN, WHITE, WITH WEAVE DOWN HER ***, BLONDE HAIRED, OR A HOE, IS REASON ENOUGH FOR MEDIACOONOUT TO BURY THE STORY.

So treatable in it's early stage. So hard to treat once it spreads. Young ladies, women, get your yearly pap. My niece has to every six months, because of lesions found on her cervix and she's only 15. My sister passed away from cervical cancer at age 32. It took her before we could blink our eyes. Sad. My condolence to Yvette's family and may she rest peacefully.
r.i.p. ms. wilson.....this lady did so much to entertain us (moesha, the parkers, friday, etc.) but yet kids are fightin in the club with bottles over a heaux, albainian chicks are screwin basketball players and hip hop artists, and of course, minority owners of basketball teams are helping over rated r&b stars fake pregnacies as pop artists in their 50s are flashing body parts to stay relevent. the news sucks, the world sucks. report on something real and eliminate the sensationalizm, its wack. GOODBYE YEVETTE, WE'LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE.
