Bosh pays $2,600-a-month in child support but according to state guidelines, someone like Bosh whose yearly salary is in the $18 million-range should be paying about $30,000-a-month.
First or top ten. Now let me say this, he is paying her CHILD SUPPORT not BABY MOTHER support. She has to help finance the child's lifestyle as well, what was she doing with the money? I thought they were having a custody battle also. If she can't afford to put a roof over the childs head give him custody and stop trying to get more money to do so. I believe child support is supposed to cover the father's half or mother's half of the child's expenses not cover the mother expenses as well. He may pay only 2600 a month but probably gives a lot more off the books. Her mortgage isn't his responsiblity. She won't let him take their child to the olympic with him. WHy? Just to be spite full. Like someone said if she were getting $2600 a month in child support she would not qualify for aid!! So obviously the dead beat ain't paying or isn't paying on time or crossing state lines is an issue. IDK but It cost $235k now to raise a child in the US. College, living expenses, healthcare(which she was probably paying out of her paycheck every month), and then she's got expenses related to caring for the child. Daycare can average $1000 per month per child, water, electric, food, clothing, ***, schooling supplies, school lunches, if the kid has medical issues that are not covered under the insurance that comes out of pocket, taking the kid out, gifts etc. He doesn't need to pay 30k a month but he *** sure needs to pay more than 2600. He doesn't have the kid most of the time, and she is not obligated to send the kid to live with its father. Everybody is talking like she was sitting on her asz waiting for the child support to come in. Those women I don't agree with. Obviously the men on here are bitter because either they aren't paying their child support, paying but don't want to pay, or are in arrears. She is a great mother with a great head on her shoulders. If I remember correctly, Chris comes from a family of VERY humble beginnings. Funny how people blow up and forget what mayonnaise sandwiches and sugar water taste like. Allison didn't need him when she got him, she's always had her own. Now that he's moved up a little in life he's doing the same thing the rest of these new money athletes do. Bail out on their responsibilities and think its okay because of their "celebrity". I am also going to add it goes both ways. If a woman was making that much money and dude has custody of the child then she needs to pay too. There should be no double standard. It is about the child. For Black people to live well it costs money. To live close to a good school it costs money, mortgages go up if you want to live in a good neighborhood and send your kids to good schools, gas cost money etc. It is not cheap to care for a child! He is blessed enough he can spare a few dollars to make sure his kid lives well.

I agree with ihatepeople, she is not his responsibility, child support is solely for the child, if she can't afford the house give the child to him until she gets her life together, I don't think he would allow his daughter to become homeless. Besides she is looking for child support that is 10 times the original amount, that means the money is going to finance her lifestyles as well. If he is paying too little blame the courts, not him. The same thing happened with 50 cents and his baby mother. @CheraMoss8 you took the words right out of my mouth. Yes she made a mistake by having a baby out of wedlock but a child is the result. A child that needs to be cared for regardless of mom and dad's status at the time of conception. Depending on how old the child is, you're looking at, at least $800 for child care...and thats for "normal" parents that dont have children by celebrities so a private school alone would be $1600 - $2000/month. Food is expensive....were @ about $650/mo in our household. What a lot of ppl fail to realize is that children need lights, water, and some type of working phone in the household....unfortunately when you leave your childs mother, you will have to help w/ the cost of those things. $2600/mo is not nearly enough when the father is making more than 18 mil/yr, that is a slap in the face. Hell no he *** be able to take his child overseas w/o the mother, only an unfit mother would allow it. You can tell that the ones who are commenting that $2600 is enough are either sorry a** men who are behind on child support and BM's on welfare. Of course u wouldnt know the cost of taking care of a child bc the govt calculates it for u. Only sorry, selfish, bitter a** black men fight child support. Just my opinion, I feel responsible adults, parents should be able to work it our where the courts aren't involved. I am waiting until marriage, college degree behind me as well, but as we all know...some marriages don't work. If that is the case for me, I want the father of any kids that I have, to take care of them without the courts involved.
Not only is she lucky but she should be happy. I work hard to take care of my son and going on job number 2 because I know I like expensive things. My sons' father was ordered to pay $252 a month and $5,040 in back child support and he told the judge that was too much and I didnt spend that much on my son. The funny thing is he has been MIA since I was 5 months and lives in another state so he don't know how much I spend. $2600 is more than enough, I wish I could get a quarter or at least $252 of that a month. Some women are blessed because my son is almost 3 and his dad has never given a dime or done anything for him.

$2,600 a month for 18yrs means, he beat her to the punch and put himself on child support, and she did not appear, more than likely she wanted to do it, but did not have the money to go get all the paper work..and put it off, and Chris, went ahead and filed on himself, and put enough evidence to assure the judge that 2,600 is enough, anything 30,000 is ridiculous for a 3-4 yr old, and it will be helping her lifestyle. If she had any *** sense, she would have sued him for Palimony, but a basic broad would not know their rights and its too late because its 3yrs later and her luck is bad.

Actually, a portion of the child support is for household expenses (I.e. bills) at least thats how it is in South Carolina. So before yall dumb f(cks criticize this woman about using the child support for her bills or saying its for the child only. Any decent father would want his child to live the same life they are living. People who say 2600 a month is plenty, probably receive gov't funded childcare or have their mother watching their child. Quality childcare is extremely expensive even home day cares are over $600 a month. Not everyone qualifies for WIC and they have to buy milk and pampers. When a child becomes older theres music and dance lessons, sports and social groups like the girls or boyscouts. Children are not cheap and if you raise them in an expensive metropolis like NYC or Cali everything cost more, food, gas, utilities, etc. I hate to say this but you really only read about this, when it comes to black celebrity dads, I mean most black men are raised without a father so the value of taking care of your offspring/heirs in underrated in our community.
