: NBA baler Joe Johnson is having a lot of problems with his bays moms - a woman named Shannon. You see, ever since Joe BROKE THINGS OFF with her, and got with his NEW GF (A lovely young lady named Kayla), she's been making his life difficult.
So Joe is trying to get back at her. Joe, who just signed a close to $100M deal with the BROOKLYN NETS is suing his babys mother, who makes less than $50K a year - for CHIL SUPPORT.

The All-Star guard filed paternity paperwork earlier this week in Georgia to legally establish himself as the father of his alleged 5-year old son, whose mother is named Shannon Beckton.So he gets joint custody - and she pays HIM child support??? He must be paying his lawyer WELL!!
In the docs, Johnson says he still wants to test for DNA (just in case) … but if he is the father, he is asking the judge for joint physical and legal custody, for his son to be able to inherit from him, and for his son to take on his last name.
Not only that — Johnson says Beckton should be held responsible for some of the financial support of the child as well … so the burden doesn’t rest solely on his multi-million dollar shoulders.
Why not/.....women do it all the time....Laying on their backs and having kids for a check.... Its a problem when a man wants a check huh...... SMH BW....

@NYCblackman...I thought that too, but hey it seems like that's what all the famous black athletes, movies stars and the onez in the music industry do. @topic...both made the child, both should provide. The one earning the most should pay more and both should put the funds in a separate account for the child, simple really!
I sincerely hope he's not asking her for child support. He's working with something while she has only change/ pennies. I find difficult to understand pettiness.It's unfortunate that baby momma seems to be the norm , not wife & mother. If he had practice safe *** there would be an issue. He needs to be a better man take care of his child. 119 million he doesn't need any help financially. He probably mess off more than he'll pay for child support. I'm just saying

I fail to see why one needs child support when custody is shared. Sole custody, I believe that the parent male or female is intitled to the financial support of the noncustodial parent. Furthermore, I don't see where he is asking for child support. It seems he just wants her to help financially as she should and help pay for expenses to support the child.
I agree. Both parents should share the responsibility for their child financially regardless how much they make. Its only fair, too bad it doesnt work out that way in the courts. They always favor the mothers. At least his baby mother works unlike all the other athlete's baby mama's who just want a meal ticket.
At least he said that if he's the father, that he wants joint and physical custody of his son. Even if the judge don't grant him physical custody, he's willing to pay child support. I think it's only fair that since she's working, she *** want him to take care of his son and support her life style to.
I know a lot of women that have babies with highly paid athletes are spoiled into thinking "I have a baby and no matter if it works out or one of us fcks it up, I'm set for life because I earned it by birthing a golden ticket!". It's forums like reality tv, hiphop strip culture, MTO saying ignorant *** like "so and so caught a baller...", when someone gets with an athlete etc. , that promotes gold digging as a career. Maybe some are really in love but can't make it through the distractions and people that want a piece. When separated, I believe all money spent on the kids should be accounted for and recorded by both parents and if she isn't collecting alimony from the marriage (if applies) and has a new man, we better still be real cool for me to share with you and your dude, Some women feel like "I'm getting that cash and spending it how I see fit" and that's the issue... where's the money going?! money, money, money... the kid comes last!
Some people really have terrible reading comprehension. The story does NOT say that he wants HER to pay HIM any child support! He is just asking that she contribute something to the cost of caring for the child, and that he not have to pay for 100% of it. For example, if it's determined that $5,000 a month is needed for take care of the child (housing, tuition, food, clothes, medical insurance, etc.) then maybe he will contribute $4,000 and she will contribute $1,000. But since he makes SO much more than she does, I bet he will probably end up paying more like 90% for the child's care. I think he is being petty; he should be a man and pay 100%; he can well afford it.
I don't understand why these athletes and rappers with multimillion-dollar salaries want to nickel and dime their baby mammas. Some of the guys will think nothing of throwing away thousands of dollars in one *** at a strip club or on bottle service in a ***, then they want to cry the blues when it comes to taking care of their flesh and blood. Even if they think the woman is a gold-digger, so what...they should have thought of that before they got her pregnant. It is too late for remorse; the child is here and needs to be taken care of. If that child is a baby or infant, the mother should not have to work but she should be able to stay at home with the child. No baby of a multimillionaire should be in day care!
