Congrats to her! 3.5 is pretty much the same at a community college as it is at a university. We only had to have a 3.2 to get into Capstone. Most of my professors at UA said they taught the same thing at the community college at their part time jobs and you're really just paying for the school name so good for her..
Good for her. Now she can go to four year if she chooses. Depending on what she was going for, she may be making the same money as the pwrson who graduated with a 4yr degree. Just depends. Hopefully she will keep going, though. People will find something negative to say about anything. Smh.

Haters. College is college and community college might not be your 4-year affair, but you STILL have to work hard. Professors can be just as scathing and just as challenging. It's also a good way to avoid debt if you can't afford a 4 year. That's how I started out in college and was able to got to any 4-year uni I wanted to after the fact. So far, um...I only owe Unca Sam about 20k versus the 40 *** 50k+ the average student owes. And this is a certificate. She got bills to pay and some jobs are all taken soooo...not knocking her hustle. She's got brains to back it up.

Why the hate if it being a community college. Obviously you district go to college or you would know the classes you take at a 4 year university for 2 years those general education classes are the exact same at a community college, and just as hard. Its actually smarter to go to Community college 1st then transfer, and when you transfer grim community to university. You will be a Jr. In college. And have saved tons of money. Its smarter. I wish I would have done that. Insteat I spent 24k for 4 years of college. So good and smart for her.

She's getting her education at a college, got a body and looks and yet the only person in the world she can get is a Athlete or a rapper ( MTO was going to say it sooner of later). Why not a doctor, a lawyer/Judge or a CIA/FBI agent, at least a job that can help people rather than entertain them. An athlete is like a race horse with a severe broken leg, has to be put down, because it cannot walk no more let alone run ( that's the nature of a horse). Once a athlete can play no more due to a career destroying injury, he has to struggle to survive otherwise, he'll be homeless. Or worse. Same goes the Video Models(Video hoes) without their looks and bodies. their lives are over. (unless their adult kids takes care of them).
I'm with the people who congratulate this young lady for going to college (regardless of the level or size of the college) in hopes to improve herself, but I'm also with the crowd that believes she can find another way to finance her education, pay her bills, and continue to improve herself--no need to show skin, breasts, and ***.

Formal education doesn't mean you're smart. I work in a University (a good one) and I can tell you the number of dumbasses graduating is terrifying. However it's a necessary evil. Seriously speaking, something is wrong with you, but if you want to keep harping on salaries, let me go there with you. Yes, men make more than women, but even that fact is beginning to change considering the state of the economy. Today's research is reporting that more and more women (regardless of color) are becoming the bread winners of the family because a lot of men (black and white) are losing their jobs and taking on the role of stay-at-home moms, so those percentages you keep harping on, will eventually changed, especially for Afro-American men. Honestly, I hate to go down these type of roads with you because I do not enjoy participating in tic-for-tac games--I just don't. The bottom line is this: I love people, especially blacks--regardless of their gender, for we all are in the same boat. I'm going to ask you what Marvin *** ask, "Can we have some lovin' here today?"
