My 2 cents is this. If Aaliyah had not had her "accident" beyonce would be famous but not as famous as she is now. Beyonce got to where she is because she had very little competition. Aaliyah originated everything that beyonce did/does but aaliyah did it with class w/o having to be half naked. She was the first to my memory that was singing and KILLING the dancing game. She was singing on tracks with rappers. She had *** near waist length hair that was all HERS. She was in major films where she portrayed a character and didn't just seem like aaliyah in a movie. Aaliyah had true talent. She keep it sexy yet cute. She left things to the imagination. She didn't need to perform in ice skating costumes. Angrier Kitty - I agree with all of that! I was a REAL Aaliyah fan, ever since 94. I didn't just wait until she died to start hying her or buying her music. She was at the height of her career right before she died and was going to keep rising. She definitely was a classy young lady. Even as an adult, she questioned the moves Fatima wanted her to do in videos because she wanted her mother's approval first. That is one thing these artists such as Beyonce can care less about. They are all about "*** sells". I do think Beyonce is very talented and pretty, and liked her since DC but she does lack some class and comes off quite raunchy. I am not taking away from the fact that she may be a really sweet person.
