Well, the Arabs' hatred stems from their forefather being banished from Abraham's encampment and not inheriting the promised seed. It is always and always will be considered a more taboo thing for a man to hit a woman than it will for a woman to hit a man. I agree that violence is terrible and if people knew how to control their tempers no one would be flying off into rages hitting anyone. However, it is still far more disgraceful for a man to hit a woman being as the bible calls her 'weaker vessel' in general men know they can do far more damage hitting a woman than the other way around. Men who have been properly raised by a father and a mother usually will not hit a woman whether she is right or wrong. It's because he respects himself and his position as a man.
