I'm all for guns, I have a sh!t load of them. My latest and greatest 6"S&W 500, (I'm getting aroused thinking about my baby). The gun laws aren't fine! Gary Indiana was the murder capital for years until stricter laws was implemented. You couldn't find a 15round clip ***, If you did it was a collectors item. They made it hell in most states to purchase a gun. Yeah crime was still there but when most states carried the same penalties as maryland in new york it made you think twice about ***!it.
I have a couple alternated automatics, even changed the stock on bushmaster 223. I knew when the laws was put into place, must states was giving mandatory 10+yrs for these fabrications.
Than the last administration felt it was to harsh and decided, let's take the age limit up. Instead of 18 yrs let make 21yrs across the board. Think God most of the gun companies decided to stop making hand guns holding more than 8rds. Now a 21yr old can once again go to the nearest pawn shop and buy a chopper (M90, M14,Also etc).
The gun laws are *** up! To mention, buy all the ammunition you *** well please.
For those of you on here saying the gun laws are OK, I'm sure you've never seen what a SKS could do to a human body from 500yds away. It leaves an everlasting impression in your mind. SMH!!!
You cannot ban guns without a Constitutional amendment. So that point is moot.
How strict to make gun laws is up to the residents of individual sites and how they decide. If Florida wishes to have stricter gun laws, they can vote on that. If California wants to have leaner gun laws, they can vote on that. Far be it for me to say what residents of another state should or should not do.
However, banning guns or restricting gun sales would hardly end crime with guns. A criminal will rob a bank with a knife; a murderer and rapist can still do harm with a piece of robe or a baseball bat. I mean, we've banned drugs on a national level, and drugs are as easy as ever to get. If we look at Prohibition and the organized crime and murders that resulted from that as an example in our recent history, we can see trying to simply ban something will not work.
Now and interesting statistic would be how much crime that involve firearms is also related to drugs. If something like marijuana was legalized, would there be a corresponding drop in gun crimes.
