Oprah gives the most money out of all celebrities, I remember when Katrina hit and one of her charities was the main ones rebuilding houses (in black communities), she has spent her own time in South Africa raising money for kids with AIDS and donating about $50M of her own money, having a school built there and bought close to 50k kids their school clothes, clothes, supplies and Christmas gifts, her Angel Network had even raised so much money close to $70M they had to stop accepting donations. Why does she have to help anyway? She made her money on her own, no handouts. Does this guy even help feed the homeless or anything useful? Does he even donate that $1.99 to feed the family of four for the holidays? Probably not! I don't like Oprah but why do people feel like she has to "give back" to anyone that didn't give her anything?! Even when she had her show majority of her viewers were white smh. Why do people feel like as much as she's given still isn't enough because of how much she has?

People have to understand that Oprah is worth a billion dollars but that doesn't mean she has a billion dollars. It her net worth on paper. So people don't know how liquid she is.
This is the problem with saying the rich don't pay taxes. Most of the rich keep their money in investments or assets they can borrow against. You don't pay taxes on paper wealth or borrowed money. It's like if you owned 10 houses and had $300,000 worth of equity. The Government can't tax the equity unless you sell the houses and make a capital gain. So you can borrow against the $300,000 in equity tax free because borrowed money can't be taxed.
