No she didnt start anything. Box braids been trending since last summer. Had them all summer last year in a high bun including many girls on Tumblr. So annoying she gets credit for what the round away girl "been" doing. Maybe Solange but not Bey.

I have been sporting boxed, goddess, single braids as recent as 4 month ago, maybe they saw me with them and began jocking my style.

Nobody started anything but Brandy has never stopped wearing them. They are under her front lace wigs...One day you'll see the wig, the next the braids. If she has no appearances, she wears the braids out....Brandy was the one to make it cool outside of the hood. It was her trademark. Since beyonce is the it girl now i guess you can say she is influencing others to wear the style just as brandy did in the 90's but we all know she didnt start anything.

Its a good look for black girls. I like it. It brings out the black culture in them. Finally a break from those heavy weaves.
