: Well, well, well . . . 1980s superstars Al B Sure and Karyn White attended an LA charity event together this weekend. And according to people there . . . they looked like they were together ROMANTICALLY.
They make a cute couple. For all you YOUNGINS . . . Karyn was SUPERWOMNAN way before Lil Mo!!!
UNFORTUNATELY, THESE TWO WERE THE LAST OF THEIR KIND DURING THE LATE 80S AND EARLY 90S. THE ARTISTS OF THIS PERIOD DO NOT EVEN PERFORM WHAT COULD BE CLASSIFIED AS R & B MUSIC. TODAY, WE HAVE ACCEPTED BELOW CENTIGRADE ARTISTRY FROM LOWER TIER/GHETTOCENTRIC BLACK ARTISTS. IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE! STOP SUPPORTING ARTISTS THAT ROUTINELY *** BLACK IMAGERY AND CULTURE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, PEOPLE. THE PROMOTION OF ***%%A NONSENSE ENDS TODAY!!!
Al B betta quit playin. He is *STILL* fine to me. Truth-be-told, he would give his sons a run for their money if he would drop a few pounds. He seems like he has low self-esteem. This guy was one of the artists who DEFINED 80's R&B music. How can you feel bad about yourself when you achieved that? And produced fine children? He needs to dust himself off, and get back in the game.
AL B SURE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE FINE..AND HE CAN SING..DON'T KNOW WHY HE WON'T PUT OUT ANY MUSIC..KARYN WHITE ON THE OTHER HAND IS NICE LOOKING..BUT SHE WAS A ONE HIT WONDER.I AM NOT A HATER SURE IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT THEN GO FOR IT.SHE LOOKS INTELLIGENT,THATS WHAT AL B SURE LIKES (REMEMBER THAT LADIE ALL THOSE MEN WAS AFTER ON TRUMPS SHOW)..YOU GO BOY...
@SApriincess, nah girl, I am from the 70's and 80's too! Music back then was much better, classy and talked about true loe, relationships and how to work them out, then today's trash talking non- sense! Today's people have no idea of what real class, real music with a solid foundation that meant sense means. The days of watching MTV, and BET with Donnie Simpson and Sheri Carter was the days when a person would want to watch video channels. Free and AJ was much coolier than horse face Rocsi and Terrance. 80's had much better music , movies and people respected the community, elders, parents, teachers, the house of God far better than today's society. We did not have all this non-sense, foolishness of the society of today! the 80's may not have been perfectbut we really were a much better society kids to be a kid, much more safier and kids actually really liked school and did much better than today! I really miss the 80's.
@ treeena - Karyn has an album out right now, Carpe Diem... I think she's on the second single, as two videos have been released. I loved her music back in the day, but this album is having to grow on me. I stopped listening to most music made after 2005 so it may take a while for me to get into the 'newer' sound. The voice is still there though.
Al must have thought he needed a superhero to protect him from those 'bad people' who were 'after' him - so he called Superwoman. Too *** bad she's not your superwoman. Oh, hell I could have fun picking on AL with some of Karyn's song titles, but I'll digress.
Dang, since I'm actually familiar with both Karyn and Al, am I showing my age? lol
@pennylane...lol...@ topic they do look nice. I hated that 'Superwoman' song tho when I was a youngin'. Everytime we'd ride somewhere with moms that sh*t would always come on seemed like. I would always ask moms to switch the station when that & anything Aaron Neville came on. All that oh oh oh ha ha ha sh*t he did always annoyed me. Sorry fans of these artist...just my humble opinion...
