If you know anything about Caribbean women you will know that they tend view dysfunctional relationships as interesting and exciting and stable healthy relationships as boring. Funny cuz, Oprah flat out asked her if they are dating and are they seeing each other like 3x and each time she said NO. she said that they still love each other (1st you always have a place in your heart or feelings or your first love when you're that young) BUT she also said that she isn't doing anything but trying to be friends again (because when you lose someone you were that close to, having then in your life in any way is better than not at all). She said she wants him to be happy & that he's I'm a relationship, so if his girl makes him happy, then she's happy. It is possible to love someone who is not healthy for you. To me, her feelings for Chris Brown have nothing to do with what he did to her. Many women are MARRIED to men who physically and psychologically abuse them. I also think it is possible for a man to really love the women he abuses.
Abuse is a form of psychological and emotional ILLNESS. The men who abuse are basically f'd up in the head, and have no self-control. This is not an excuse. They need help, and they need to let the ones they love go until they can get themselves together and deal with their own mental and emotional issues.
Women need to learn that even though you might love the man who abuses you, that it's time to end the relationship when someone is putting their hands on you. A woman cannot change an abusive man. Only he can make the choice to change himself.
Obviously Chris Brown and Rihanna are soul mates. I can see their love and I don't even know them. No matter what, they are going to love each other forever. They have the kind of love that is so strong it aches the soul. They may be in these little "play" relationships with other people just to pass time, but when they are both ready to feel something that is real, something that is deep and for always, they will reunite.
