In respect to your last post you are actually justifying her first comment which was dealing with music and the disrespect of 'brown women' often called black. None of these things were happening ... We can blame it on everything but lets take it where it belongs as she said; music. Exactly - our people must be retaught and brought back into reality. The reality is we are products - a product that has been sold around the planet as entertainment. ke ith331- You are correct and I have been doing my own research on the history of our people and do know we are descendents of the moors and peoples living in Western and/or northern parts of africa. With that being said though, it still does NOT form a solution for HOW we as a race can REBUILD the BLACK FAMILY and our communities. I don't suggest that we go anywhere - as a matter of fact many of our people were already here in the America's - what I suggest is that we become sovereign citizens breaking away from Corporate America. As much as the oppressed will defend the oppressor, it doesn't make it right. There is still racism very much alive in the US, and the Republicans have promoted this by them not including minorities at all in their agenda. Obama appeals to minority groups, who are rapidly becoming the majority. If only we ensured a large voting turnout, we could have a little more say in what happens in this country.
