You seem to have misunderstood why people like those rappers and actors. They are doing thief job as entertainers. They are not our role models, teachers, or social heroes. These people work hard to attain their careers and give a small hope to black youth that they can reach fame and riches even under the most debilitating ***. It is our jobs to choose our role models not the entertainment industries. Furthermore it is clear that we need to focus on education in the black communities instead of tearing down the few who managed to acquire a career without a proper education. Why you might ask.. Well those rappers and actors did not get rich from people who could not understand their way of life or choice of words. Clearly more blacks listen to them than indie Rock or soul. We should spend more time attacking our local mayors and superintendants about the quality of our schools. We should be focused on making sure our kids are actually doing the school work and participating in the classrooms, we need to find them work to do at home and extracurricular activities that they enjoy to keep them off the streets. This our job. Not the rappers. Not the schools. Not the presidents. Not the governor. But OUR JOB. How can you ridicule the youth when you don't take responsibility for their upbringing. That is our jobs as neiborhs, parents, and black people. We need to take care of each other especially the youth who by our hands become either the next lil Wayne or president Obama depending on how much responcibility for their growth we show.
