: MediaTakeOut.com CONFIRMED that YESTERDAY Griselda Blanco, known as “The Godmother of Cocaine" during Miami’s “cocaine cowboys” era of the ’70s and ’80s, was SHOT IN THE DOME in Medellin by two motorcycle-riding assassins.
Blanco, 69, spent nearly twenty years behind bars in the United States for drug trafficking and three murders, including the fatal shooting of a 2-year-old boy shot in Miami in 1982.
Here's how the Miami Herald is reporting it:
According to Radio Caracol and two newspapers, El Espectador and El Tiempo, two gunmen on motorcycles unleashed a fatal hail of gunfire as she walked out of a butcher shop in Medellin, her hometown.
“It’s surprising to all of us that she had not been killed sooner because she made a lot of enemies,” former Miami homicide detective Nelson Andreu, who investigated her, said late Monday. “When you kill so many and hurt so many people like she did, it’s only a matter of time before they find you and try to even the score.”
Blanco was arrested in 1985 in a cocaine trafficking case in New York, and she was released in 1998 to Florida authorities. She pleaded no contest in October 1998 to three counts of second-degree murder.
Police estimated she was involved in at least 40 homicides between Miami and New York. She is credited with importing to Miami the concept of the “motorcycle assassin” — killers on bikes who sprayed their victims with machine-gun bullets.

In her early years in the States, Griselda was already highly feared in NYC, which she latter had to leave because of numerous murder suspicions that had been carried out on some of New York City's most notorious gangsters and drug dealers.
She then moved to Miami in the early 80's where she became one of Pablo Escobar's main hub- suppliers to sub-suppliers in the northern, eastern, and western, cocaine distribution organizations throughout the country.
Griselda personally executed two of her husbands, and a third her fiance, has never been found.
She is responsible for over 200 murders, mostly in Miami and its surrounding areas, yet plenty of murders were also attributed to her in various parts of the USA, and aboard.

Griselda once ordered the murder of one of her own assassins by way of her many other assassins. And in a bold daylight attempt on the marked man's life, her henchmen opened-up with automatic weapons on the would-be dead man's vehicle, and instead they accidently *** an killed his eight year old son, who was unseen to the *** while in the back seat of the *** ridden car.

In my entire life I have never feared any woman, not even my own mother as a child, but I must admit, when in the presence of Griselda Blanco there were times I did indeed feel a bit of apprehension, anxiety, and extreme caution. You all have to remember this particular Colombiana didn't have a problem killing children, so just imagine what she in many cases had done to adults. Torture was one of her many hobbies amongst shopping, dealing tons of cocaine, and counting the estimated 30 million dollars per week she was raking in at the peak of her reign. .
I remember being at one of her many extravaganzas where she was wearing this enormous $25 million broach on her lapel, to which she would brag about to whom ever would listen.
One of the younger females that was in attendance that evening didn't seem to pay much complement to Griselda's flamboyant jewelry--so Griselda had this much younger, and much sexier female taken to one of the upstairs bedrooms by two of her bodyguards, and nakedly whipped with belts until the girl passed-out. But first Griselda had the DJ turn off the music and insisted everyone remain silent so that all in attendance-- myself included-- could hear the tearing sounds of the belt straps opening up human flesh to the beat of the girl's blood curding screams..
Funny thing was that while all this was taking place, everyone listening to the on going torture-- not one of us said SH#T, yet continued quietly to sip from the *** in our hands. I am willing to wager that while most felt sorry for the girl, all were immensely glad it was she and not themselves on the receiving end of that piping hot blistering leather.
Griselda was a beast-monster plain and simple--but if she liked you, she really, really, liked you, especially if you were a young male, Spanish speaking, and had a "beach ready body."
However, becoming romantically involved with "The Godmother" was suicidal, which was the only reason I chose to keep things between us stickily business, despite her many romantic advances and flirtations..
They may have finally gotten her, or perhaps not-- she use to employ a Colombian woman who could pass as her twin.
If it is indeed to be Griselda , I can tell you all this: She always wanted to go out in a hail of ***, and it seems she may have gotten her wish.
In the end though, it is best that she is gone---if for any reason-- in regards to the hundreds of people she sent to hell many years before her own arrival
