1. That's not a Barbie doll
2. That's ratchet
3. White people won't be buying that which means it was marketed towards blacks... Don't buy into that mess

90% of black women in America have fake hair and there mad when things like this come out. How about you dumb bitches stop doing low class shit such as wearing weaves so people might have a different perception of you.
It's so funny because just like welfare, white people use more fake hair than blacks, then just go around and blame everyone else. Sorry guys didn't mean to bust your bubble but that becky has a piece in her head too.
Any woman that grew up having hella different Barbie's...like I did...knows that Mattel always assures Barbie changes with the times. Even White Barbie's have different weaves to change...theirs came in pink, blue, yellow. She was Punk Rock Barbie. Black people need to quit getting so defensive about EVERYTHING! Is it not FACT that MOST Black women wear some type of weave?! YES!! Mattel just keeping it real as usual!
No it doesn't NEED to be recalled b/c it's the TRUTH. My friends
that teach at middle school see little girls with RATCHET WEAVES
so don't be mad....do something about it. CHANGE your mind set.
LEARN how to GROW and take care of your natural hair so you
won't have to glue and sew Indian hair into your nappy heads.
As a one time Barbie fanatic and an all around black person, I'm not offended. I had white Barbies who's hair was blue or pink, and I didn't give to hecks. If this was available 15 years ago, I'd have this on my Christmas list. My mom went threw chemo and had tons of wigs...why is this considered racist??
I bet the MTO Staff Member who typed this piece, could barely see the keyboard cuz her rachett weave falling in her eyes.
Barbie Corp. needs to go 1 further and redesign KEN as a drug dealing Thug, trying to make it in the Hip Hop world, then maybe bottom feeding nigggas will try and rid themselves of sterotypes, before their kids by into it.
how come wen its time for black women to answer the question of why do u wear a weave... the women be like white women wear weave too... wHITE WOMEN ARE NOT THE MOTHERS OF CIVILIZATION. WE ARE!! WE DO NOT FOLLOW THEMM... THEY FOLLOW US!!! GO NATURAL AND EXPERIENCE TRUE BLACK BEAUTY IT IS BEYOND ELIEF.. YOUR AFRO WIL GROW SO BIGGG AND THICK... U ARE GOING TO FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN LIED TO SINCE BIRTH ABOUT YOUR HAIR BEING UGLY..
glad our little Baby's can play with a doll of there own race.............the weave is a bit much but it comes with the truth..................bk women have made the Asians Rich by wearing this N there head..........they have gotten Rich off the Nail salons..........5wigs & rices spots.........weave shops & more........we have made everyone Rich & have been used by Everyone & what do we have? NOTHING!!!!!!!!! God set these nails salons, weave shops ect These Gentiles think They have managed to pull this off on there own.........it's God who had this N mind for us before we even came here...............serving our enemys is all we do, make them rich while we stay POOORRR!!!
Mmk first thing, I'm sure they have a white version of this doll too secondly, You complain about the every black doll they have. They listen to consumers and make products that fit what people want. I think its a fine idea so what you act like the kids don't see their mom getting her hair done or what if she wants to be a hair stylist...some/most kids would love these dolls and see nothing wrong with it because there is nothing wrong with it let kids remain innocent instead of making a big deal out of nothing shit like this is what breeds hate in any race. You always pulling the race card is fucking redic. Get over it. Seriously. Everyone is not against you everyone does not do shit to you bc you're black DAMN! Get a clue.
Don't be mad at the product....be mad that this is what companies think black girls want. Now question....why would they think that? Look at the answers you come up with and be mad that you could perceive the same marketing tactics that the company did. NOW? Who is at fault? Expect more and get more....expect less and get...LESS.
well some of the white barbies also have diff hair pieces included to, dont think they were trying to be funny or anything by having theblack doll come with diff hair pieces. And to the ppl saying oh thats b/c blk women always wear weave and they let their children wear weave... last time i checked if u had sense you wold know white women wear weaves loo karound in hollywood more of them wear itgo to white areas in their salons thats all their doing is weaves, extensions etc... Just b/c you see a white woman with log hair does not mean it is theirs ppl just automatically assume it is b/c they act as if white women cant have short hir or cant possibly have a weave.. My thing is ppl can wear what they want if they want to wear a weave fine if yall dont like it black men then dont look. In that case blk women are tired of yall asses damn near 30 still rocking nappy ass braids with pants hanging off yal lasses with ur draws hanging out and stunting like yall are balling cuz u have a nice car with rims but still live with yall mom. Since as black men yall want to down and group all black women into one box lets put yall in one box for today.. As far as the kids wearing weave that is siply stupid but again i bet yall never thought that white ppl put extension in their little children hair, make up spray tanning etc
Most dolls in the eighties and nineties came with changing hair or color. I think its kinda cute. Its 2012 why are ppl still saying blk women r trying to b white. How bout we do what we want and like. We are being ourselves we are not ashamed of our hair clearly most of us have thick beautiful hair like myself but love switching it up. We have options to look different if and when we want to and haters who arent daring enough where the same style every ten yrs. They make it a blk thing but all races where weaves and wigs for whatever thier reason or just mayb no reason at all. its called Versatile... Try it some times ur man might like it! P.s. Sometimes we wear short weaved and wigs too boom...
Black women wear weaves of white/ Indian texture... White women don't get Afros put on there head and try abc look black.. Black women get weaves to try n look different than what they are... So cut it out with the whole " white women wear weaves too" bs, nobody is buying it... Y'all hate y'all hair.. They just add to it
Black women are not the only ones who wear extensions, wigs and weaves. Look at alot of women in Hollywood. Jessica Simpson (who by the way, has her own wig and extension hair company and has even admitted to wearing them herself!), Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Adele, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, etc. just to name a few. All of these women have admitted to "enhancing" their hair. Wearing weaves are not about "hating" your hair. Some women just like to change it up a bit. You're supposed to have fun with your hair. Play with it, experiment with it. That's part of being a woman. Some women do it to add extra fullness (because they may have very thin hair due to genetics), some women suffer from alopecia, some women are going "natural" and may want to allow their hair to grow without alot of manipulation to it, so they opt for a wig or weave, some women are suffering from cancer and may feel a little better about themselves with a wig or weave after having lost their own hair. So, people wear them for various reasons. I see nothing wrong with it.
It's a part of our culture. We have hair shows, do we not? Why can't we embrace it and be proud of it? Other races temporarily modify themselves for style; we have blondes and brunettes dying their hair red, for example, and what is the problem with that?
The only issue I have with the doll is the cleavage showing. Why would anybody give that mess to anybody's child. Our children are exposed to enough stuff as it is. Let them enjoy their childhood as much as possible. There's plenty of time for grown up stuff.Their young minds are not mature enough to understand thats not appropriate for them. It's up to us as adults to mentor them correctly and protect them. If you at least have an ounce of love for the little girl/s in your life, please dont give this doll to them or any doll that represents low self esteem. This doll is not about love. Teach them by showing them what it is to love themselves. Let them decide (when they are of age) if they want to live as a low life.
