I think you definitely hit onto something about the behavior of some black men, which is to be wayward and give up on protecting home, which is really the true beef of a lot of black women--not white women. True, but the sad thing concerning the plight of black boys and men is that everyone knows that they are in a sad state except for them--reason for why they are preyed upon more than black girls and women. If you go back and re-read my post, you will notice that I said times are changing--slowly but surely. Yes, as a whole, thinness is being pushed and always will, for if Mr. Charlie does not push his lie of what beauty is, then he admits to the world that beauty comes in other forms, shapes, colors, and sizes, so he must continue to perpetuate his lie to feel superior to everyone. However, the establishment lie is slowly but surely being realized, thus, the popularity of blackness in this day in age. Yes, there are a lot of women who still desire to be thin, but one can't deny that the number of women who are appreciating and desiring curves is increasing--slowly but surely.
