: Ive liked this college basketball player for 3 years and this year was his breakout year and now he's going to the nba draft next week. Now that he's getting drafted I recently found out he started dating an Italian girl (shes really pretty). It seems like once they go pro they stop dating black girls. they always have black babys mamas from before the fame then when they make it they date every race except black. Im 17 years old and it really depresses me that my "crush" is dating someone from a different race because i know he doesnt like black girls anymore. On twitter the only girls he follows and tweets backs are hispanics and white girls. I know it sounds silly but after i found this out i have been crying all day stayed in my room and ive been really depressed about it. Honestly, i love being black but sometimes I wish i was a different race or half of another race.
Forget him .He's a follower.
You are 17 and a proud of who you are.Remain a young lady, no *** until marriage ..boys will always be around.
Simply , focus on achieving your accomplishments. Education , Work & Family .
Associate yourself with like minded individuals. Ignore the negativity & drama.
Time is irreplaceable , so don't watse it on anyone or anything that is negative or sad.
Prayer & doing things that make you happy/better person will help you get through anything .
It sounds like you need some help. you are too young to be stressing over a guy at 17. I'm 17 and haven't stressed over a guy. You are too young to be depressed. It seems like you have some issues with yourself. He's just another guy. You seem like a nice, educated girl, trust me there will be other guys hun. And not all black guys change race when they start getting known, this football player I know is going to have a big break and he still loves black girls matter of fact that is all he still dates.
Maybe he didn't like you because you're not attractive, or you come off with little confidence as opposed to you being black ijs... Men of all races pursue me on a daily basis so I can't really feel your pain. He follows boxed shaped mexicans over you??..white women who look like young boys over you?? uggh u must be ugly as ***
