: To many people like witchcraft and study voodoo it scares me.
Don't know why...if you Black you might wanna dive in on it.
Keep falling for that *** white people made up a long time ago...Voodoo is about spirituality...even though now, in many areas, it's become a form of religion and ***...white people got they hands on that too. In some areas, white people never got they hands on it tho.
Blak Magik, Voodoo, Hoodoo, etc. were deemed "witchcraft" by white people...because they were scared of what it could mean if Black people started practicing it all over.
Don't write off old people when they tell you some strange stories back in their day.
You know there is a thing such as white magic right? They also say Left Hand Magic and Right Hand Magic...forgot which one was suppose to be the "evil" one, or one for bad intentions.
There's Alchemists...Setians, Luciferians...all these people TRY to practice "Magik"...but it all came from one place...don't really need to say, you should already know.
All of it is some form of Afrikan Spirituality.
The Secret...the same *** thing...all that's happening is they repackaged what little information they COULD find and try to resell it.
I even got an old newspaper clipping from some New York newspaper talking about "Nyggers and Blak Magik/Voodoo" or something like that. White people were/are scared to death of that ***.
I hear alot of people die from witchcraft that's what people say my grandmother on my father's side really died from I loved her. But one of my friends study witchcraft in highschool one day she came to school and said to me that she woke up this dead little white boy name tommey. She said he follows her every place she is at and she was starting to get scared. I asked her were he was because I thought she was going crazy she said he was standing right by her asking her who am I. I started to get scared and I stop hanging around her.

Maybe but it scares me. When my friend in highschool said that I was like hun? I was always told to stay away from voodoo or witchcraft and that is something to not play with. When I was 16 I was very curious about studying witchcraft it was like something was taking over me and pulling me into that direction and wanted me to study it. But after hearing negative stories about it from different people. I begin to get really scared and I also wanted to stay away from anyone who was into those kinds of things.
white folks is scared to hell of voodun because voodun is how the little island of haiti was able to defeat the greatest military power of the 1700's.(France). it was the voodun and the only reason the haitians were finally defeated years after they kicked out the french because they tried to mixed voodun with catholicism and it weakened its power. btw. that is also why to this day that white folks keep a special lock and economic quarantine on haiti. its because they remembered their european brothers being defeated by the africans of that tiny island using african science. check he story of Dessalines and L'Overture and how the latter allowed their white religion to soften his resolve and got tricked into coming to france to negotiate. lol
I knew alot of Africans pratice voodoo that is why I stop getting braids done by the Africans. When I realized that alot of Africans hated or disliked African Americans. I did not want anyone getting any of my hair and doing voodoo on it because I am an African American. I had some bad experiences with African hair shops but that is another topic. I did not know about Druids and the Shamans of Russia though.
@ Franki,
although there is "blackmagic"...what u speak of is not evil.
@Helpme,
I just want to tap into my inner energy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think what happens is its not done correctly so it opens up realms for demons to cross into the real world ~~~~~~~~~~

thats a good theory.
Vodoun and witchcraft are not synonymous, unless you are using racist European definition to describe a culture that’s existed long before there was a Christianity or islam.
The question we should be asking is what is WITCHCRAFT and what is voodoo? Are they one and the same? Has it always been that that way? if no how and when did the two concepts become synonymous to eachother and why? who may it so and why?
Did the afrikans create the term witchcraft to demonized their culture practices, or was it created by someone else to demonize afrikan culture/spiritual practices?
“Vodoun”, “voodoo”, AKA, Akan, Ifa, Orisha, La Reglas de Congo, and Mami Wata, is as old as the lines in the palm of my hands. Vodoun is an ancient afrikan sprituality practiced by some millions of Afrikans in afrika and south America, and it has the same status as Christianity and islam in Ghana, Benin, and Togo, and is widely practiced by many west afrikans, and embedded in the earth of West Afrika.
As part of the systematic subjugation and demonization of Afrikan culture and AFrikan people, voodoo has been sensationalized by Hollywood, demonized by Christian missionaries and parodied in New Orleans tourist shops, and yet it is still misunderstood.
The ancients used to say that "voodoo" is like the marks or the lines which are in our hands - we are born with them. Voodoo are in the leaves, in the earth. Voodoo is everywhere...when you fear voodoo you fear yourself.
I think voodoo is the national religion in haiti, if I'm not mistaken.
I'm subscribed to a woman on youtube that is a voodoo witch. She's a very kind and spiritual person. Although I will admit I have been taught to be against voodoo all my life like most black americans have, I feel, as voodoo is a part of our lost african history, that it is worth exploring. It couldn't hurt for you to do the same.
