STL what I think you feel to tell folks is that all religions out here actually did start as a cult or let say group. Someone created these religions and ran with it.

Hi all. I am born and raised muslim and I think that it is sad for ANY grou of people, be you muslim, jew, cristina or whatever else is out , to judge anyone else. No one is perfect you want to talk about oversexed people well what about cathloics raping little boys. There is fault to find with everything, on top of that you people are acting like you know something about the religon and you dont know a thing. Hi whyohme. I am a sunni muslim, however I know about most different muslims. My point is Shia muslims in general are not killer. You may have you few just as you may have you few sunnis who may do the same thing. Cristians do it to. And Jews. Its over 1 bilion muslims *** the world and we are dominating the medical industry. There are a lot of muslims who are doctors, nurses and so on. I bet I you got sick and went to the ER you would not be worried about what religon they are.

ignorant you are right I am stuck in my ways however I am not a blind follower I human like everyone else I have studied about other religons or faith and I CHOOSE Islam. Can you please tell me what makes islam a cult. To even be a muslim you have to acept cristianity and judism, why is it so hard to believe that islam is a real religon with a real book that was sent by God. Is it because its different what your norm, what? It is interesting for me to actually hear what other people thnk and feel about my faith. No matter what anyone says, respect is due to a dog and at the end of the day I hope we can all respect eachother and treat one another like Gods creation, as we all are. I just wish people woukd reallt do some reserch on a topic before they make these stances about a group of people.

The Quran says women are to be beaten by their husbands, yet Muslim women apparently are fine with this violence, or they could not wait to divorce Islam and run away. Quran says four wives are allowed but Muhammad had at least 10-20 & probably more, who knows?

I wanted to mention this last *** to HUE but tripping off some of the things brotherman was saying.
@STL I feel the same way about Islam. I have a couple of buddies that are jailhouse Muslims you know the ones that went to jail as a hardcore thug on the street and came out as a jailhouse muslim shoving it down your throat type.
Now I will say this and not trying to sound wrong but the muslims thaat you see on the corner with beanpie, the oil, and the muslims paper well the ones under Farkon (misspell). They act so arrognant. But let you go out here and talk to any other muslims from other countries its way different. Maybe it got to do with money.
I Question that was a very real point most major religons do belive in marytdom. That if you die for what you beleve you you will be grnted paradise. Its nothing new why to you think people join in the military. This country was founded on cristian priciples which by the way are very simular to islamic law, but anyway the goverment belived and told people for years that seving you country was serving God.

I believe that when folks try to blatantly disrespect another person's beliefs or attempt to prove how "false" a religion is, it is because they are in "fear" that may not actually be right. It's one thing to have an intelligent debate or be firm in your beliefs but it is another to "spit" false facts. I am a Christian and I will stand firm on everything I feel I know to be right. I have a friend who is Muslim and she believes she is right. We have both taken the time to teach each other what we have learned over the years, not just tell each other "girl you going to hell". Some of yall are just posting *** just to try and prove you are smart. When in reality you sound stupid as hell and dont have any real "facts" to back up what you are saying. Now, I have read this post and the other one Hurtembad posted and Jahlove, Greedy, and some others make sense but the rest of that *** just sounded ***......

First let me tell you that ALL religon at one time or another practied paligomy. Second I dont know why you think that we are looked at as second class people if anything we are treat like the best of people. The verse you are talking about is not to be taked literal i will tell you this if you were in saudis arbia and beat your wife you will go to JAIL. If you rape a woman you will et you head cut off. If you look at a women crazy or talk crazy to her you will get beat up. WE cover to avoid being disrepected and to keep our modesty not becase we are second class. When we get married we get a dowery God had ordaind rulse to keep women safe in cristianty and islam however some cristian choose another way of life. BTW the Prophet Muhmmad had 9 wives and not at one time. Did you know that kig soloman had over 100 wives why does no one talk about that. On top of that unlike cristian morman we are not allowed to live together. I will not lie poligomy is not for me and my family. One must be rich to do that or else he is not doing it right.

whyohme, I am a sunni muslim and I grew up in a muslim country I am not a finatic but I try to live a good life and follow my belief. Here's the issue I see in this back and forth bickering about who's religion is superior: Christianity is FAITH based. You cannot and WILL NOT figure God out. It is impossible to do so. That's the problem with many followers of other religions-they seek physical evidence, when Christianity tells us to walk by faith and not by sight.
I'm not saying that I hate any and everyone in this forum who do not believe what I believe; however, I will say that my religion teaches people not to JUDGE, but the Bible DOES give followers the authority to let our fellow brothers and sisters know when they are wrong. I can understand how telling a person that they are wrong about certain things could make them a bit hostile...but it is what it is...that's part of what I believe in. My religion does not make me better than the next person, nor do I try to force it on a person...If a Muslim, or a Buddhist addressed me personally and asked me to explain how I feel about my religion and why I feel that it is superior, then I would do just that...OR if a person makes a post in a PUBLIC forum, I dont see anything wrong with having a healthy debate. From my understanding, it is ALL religions' goals to spread its wisdom to non-believers, therefore we should all agree to disagree about things that are said here. At the end of the day, you've made your point (because there are great points being made on both sides), and the only thing you can do about it is keep it pushing. No need to get all childish.
Some of you have the wrong perception of Christianity. It's not something bad that people use to try to control others...NOT SAYING that it doesnt happen, but that's not what Christianity is about. Muhammed is a messenger and I dont pray to him he was a preson the same with Jesus we believe he was a great prophet who God gave great gifts to and we also believe he is coming back to the earth. God is God messengers are messengers we do not pray to people.and messengers are people great people but people everyone has there own person relationship with their creator

In college I studied religion as well and you make some very valid points. There are so many different aspects to religion and basically each one can be argued or depicted as bad or good, it depends on what you believe.

I want to clarify...The Bible DOES give us this authority, and it is NOT judging. I want to clarify that Christians should exercise this divine right in ANY situation, not just to say that "your religion is wrong".

I love each and every single one of you (I am fully aware that I dont know you all personally)..but that's how I feel. I hear you. I respect that very much. The thing is, we cannot MAKE a person change...its soley up to that individual. While attempting to influence your beliefs on another person, I feel it is crucial to understand this. You and I can sit here ALL day debating on whose religion is the "right" religion, but when it's all said and done, we've done our parts. Make no assumptions because I DO believe that through Jesus I will find GOD, however, that does not make me hate you at all. It does not stop me from respecting.
Also, anything that I want to know about, I find out on my own. The bible tells Christians that it is all the armour we need, but I am of course human....any questions I may have about other religions, I research it myself.

FEE i love my job ive been doing this for 9 yrs now. If you dont like direct patient care you can still be a nurse just go in to same day surgery or pediactrics maybe mother baby. If you dont like old people stay out of med surgical and oncology or cardiac but there is a lot of oppertuinty and great expericne personaly i cant work in psyc at all. besides that i love it all however mother baby and er my favorite. Why is Islam not a cult when in many Muslim dominated countries it is a capital offense to hand Muslims a Bible, or, to simply explain Christianity to them? Saudi Arabia, the guardian of Islam's most holy shrines in Mecca and Medina, is a highly restricted society where Christians are not allowed any public expression of their faith. Why is Islam not a cult when it is virtually impossible for a Muslim to leave the religion even if one is not converting to another religion but merely wishes to become, for example, an atheist or agnostic? Why is Islam not a cult when Muslim warriors force their religion on people? The history of Islam is full of that kind of proselytization.

@madonya80- Thanks, I wanted to either go into pediatrics, Ob/Gyn, or Labor and Delivery. Really appreciate it seems like you hear all negative, needed some positive. let me just start off by saying that I dont have all of the answers that u may be looking for. Number one, my faith keeps me near because only I KNOW what Jesus has done for me. It's not so much of me finding contradicting "evidence" that these other religions are wrong (and there is a lot of contradiction when it comes to religions), but it is my FAITH, rather....My Faith holds the key. I believe in my heart that Jesus died for me and you. That's what keeps me.

Ob you will learn a lot just some advise im not sure where you are from but i am from philly and when i was in ob i saw alot of people i went to cshool with and things like that it was hard because people have all kinds of conditions i mean bad conditions and now you know i had to leave that area and go to a place where i didnt know anyone because morally it bothered me seeing men and womenout here spreading desease and you cant do nothing about it. Your last statement is wrong. Regardless of the paths we choose, we are all God's children. No sin is bigger than the next. If you are going to say He is not with ***, then he is not with adulterers, thiefs, and EVERYBODY else that sins in this world. Granted He wants us to live a righteous life and understand our faults but God will forgive us!

@madonya80 & MZSP- I know it will be hard, I'm in Cincinnati right now but not sure if I'm going to stay here. I know that here all kind of stuff is going around, people really just don't care anymore. Honestly my first two picks would be Pediatrics and Labor and Delivery. I'm fascinated with all aspects of children, and seeing them come into the world everyday would just be amazing. Or even just being able to make them laugh or smile, or help them feel better.
Belvi , Actually the bible says to study to show thyself approved. So if anyone claims to be a follower of Christ needs to know his words to make sure that they are doing what is real and right, instead of following something that they were taught was right to believe and not understand the things that they are suppose to do. Does that make sense?
Caramel, We have been over this before in order to be forgiven one must repent and ask for forgiveness, You can not die in your sins and not repent and end up in Heaven. It does not work like that. The bible tells us that the unbeliever, fearful,murderers,abominable, sorcerers, ***, idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone.
