: Why I perfer a Hood type sista over a Bachelor Degree holding sista:
Black Women from the hood have sexier Bodies than Black Woman who are not and tend to act stuck up and WHITE.
Alot of times when Black Women finish College and get thier degrees they develop this air about them like no one is on thier level and they tend to turn their nose up at Black Men who...well...act BLACK. What I mean by act Black is still continue to be who they are regardless of how many degrees they earned, They dont try to be or talk white. By the way a Black Person who speaks proper english is not talking white, because Blacks are the ones who started civilization therefore there is nothing wrong with Blacks conducting themselves in a civlized manner and speaking as such. Dont get me wrong..I finished College too, but I never let the fact that I finished College make me forget that Im Black. I never let the fact that I finished College make date or consider Black Women who did not finish . I never let the fact that I finished College blind me from whats going on with my people, Look there is nothing wrong with Education if you get it instead of letting it get YOU.

I perfer these type of sistas because they are easy to get along with and dont walk around with this stuck up attitude. They keep it real, they are about goals and acomplishing them but they dont let it go to thier head like the above mentioned. I like a Black Woman who has a little bit of hood in them..not to much, but a little because I think its sexy..she has BLACK NESS with her, she dont try to be or sound white or look down like she is above the average joe type Black Man who works a 9 to 5 and is not on her LEVEL...so she says, the down to earth sista is just that down to earth and REAL , the acomplished sista ( Not all..but most...there are some exceptions to the rule: I dated a Lawyer before, and I was in the process of hooking up with this Woman who was attending med school to become a doctor got her number and all that ..so I cant say ALL acomplished Black Women act "stuck up" because the lawyer and inspiring Doctor were down to give me play..thats why I cant lump people in one category but usually it be true.)

You're assuming that all black women come from a ghetto background. Many black women (especially ones with degrees)aren't from the hood and that's just how they act. Btw you can't act a skin color, you can act a stereotype if that's what you're going for. IDK why you would prefer "Hood type sista" over one that's is making something of herself but hey that's you.
I am amazed at the bias against educated black women, I remember telling most black guys I worked pretty much minimum wage because when they asked what I did and told the truth, they were intimidated, and questioned my motives fir wanting them. It's a racial thing though because the nonblack men I've dated thought it was an attractive trait and bragged about it to their family and friends.... But since being with my boyfriend who is a blck man that dispells the myth that black men are bias against educated black women because his family and circle if friends appreciate my accomplishments .

Clair Huxtable married a BLACK Man though, and I would rather a Gina payne, or Pam type sista because Gina and Pam where both educated yet had that attractive Black SOUL with them.....did u also notice that they stuck with BLACK men instead of selling out and marrying non Black Men?, Do you notice that Gina was with Martin even though Martin never finished College? Dp you notice that Martin was your average joe working Black Man, and Gina was the acomplished, Educated Black Woman who loved her Man even though he was not on her quote on quote level? Now clair Huxtable was a lawyer and her Husband was a Doctor , but how realistic was the Cosby show for Black families in 1980's aka the Regan era. Clair was the bomb, but if I had to choose between the Clair Huxtable and the Gina Payne type sista I would go with the Gina Payne type sista.

@NewYorkCity_2011 Good for you NYC, then I'm not your type,I believe that a black man and a black woman can be a successful married couple and can get as much as they want out of life just as any white married couple, just because you don't see doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
My family was by no means rich, but I lived a life similar to the Cosbys in terms of family values... And in the words of Tupac, "Momma made miracles every Thanksgiving.." because we felt like kings with what we had as kids. Its all about your upbringing.....
I always say the woman a man chooses is the outer reflection of who he is on the inside...you marry a hoodrat maybe that's who you really are which is why you are comfortable with those types of women. A distinction between a hood type sista vs the chicken head is in order. A Chicken head is a low budget hood type sista which is neither a good or bad thing. Most of us start out messing with chicken heads (Known in the white community's as BIMBOS or Women who lack any motivation) Chicken heads are the type of females you mess with in High School. There comes a time however when a Man must upgrade in his choice of Women. The type of Hood sista Im talking about is that Hood sista who is motivated and intelligent but she dont take no ***, she dont let a peice of paper that the white Man gave her define who she is INSIDE just because it says "Harvard" or some ish like that. My Aunt graduated from Harvard but one thing I like about her...she never forgot who she is as a Black Woman and she is not stuck up at all..My aunt is actually one of the coolest sistas I know and shes HIGHLY educated. I guess what Im trying to say is : I dont really have a TYPE when it comes to the kind of Black Woman I wanna be with, I think its more of the attitude. For some reason the Women that are not stuck in the clouds with their degrees seem to have more of a pleasent attitude more than the Black Woman who thinks shes to good to talk to me just because I only have an associates degree right now...she wants a man based on his STATUS not who he is as a person. A Working class sista from the hood will date a Man based on who he IS not just his status..even though his status will make him more marketable in the dating game.

@NYC I wish that was true, but the fact of the matter is it is frowned upon when it comes to finding a mate in the black community. Black women getting their degrees in education was on a rise, while its a good thing of course the media, society or whatever had to stigmatize it as a negative thing so blacks can stay uneducated.
Is that the type of woman black men want from black women, to be uneducated?? Actually, the problem in black america is that there aren't enough who are educated enough to see that there is a world beyond saggy pants, hoody rats and thug loving...
"forget where they came from??" You expect all black people to act the same so you can feel better about yourself and keep in your comfort zone whatever that is. Even if he/she doesn't finish college they are free to leave these "ghetto" areas if they don't feel comfortable. If they don't have swag or feel comfortable around those who do that's their business. Black people are so obtuse and single out others who do not conform to what they think others should do. I'm black and I've got so much flack from people like you because I acted white all my life but that's ok because I'll do anything for anyone no matter who but I didn't deserve this everyone's free to be themselves as long as they try not to look down on anyone.
