: I have a feeling if the CO *** were a young black man you'd hear all type of talk on the cable news network about the "failure" of the black family, black predisposition to crime, and the criminal element going hand in hand with black America.
Yet, because James Holmes is white there are no extensions made between his behavior and whites at large. They never hold themselves to the same standard. I'm sure they hate the fact that the *** looks like any average white guy you'd see on the street.
I definitely notice that when minorities act a fool, race definitely becomes an integral part of the dialogue. But in a situation like this not so much. This dude will be written off as crazy and that will be that.
Perfect example. People were fine with racial profiling post 911. But before 911 the most devastating terrorist attack was the Oklahoma city bombing. Was racial profiling in the discussion after that incident?

Hey, its the truth and will continue to be the truth as long as some people have their self worth 95% invested in something they had absolutely nothing to do with...their race.
That's why racism has been more out in the open last 4 years. A black dude being president is a very personal attack on some peoples self esteem. In a way its understandable. Picture your self worth rapped up in a myth. Anything contrary to that myth will be ignored regardless of how logical or produce a very strong negative reaction.
Acknowledging this dudes race and what he did as a causal relationship the way its done with other races destroys that myth. But the myth has to survive for the identity to survive. So people will CHOOSE to ignore the hypocrisy. I refuse to believe they do not see it.
You and yours don't mind black on black crime? Cause I think I will probably be introduced to a Yetti before I meet an actual black person who does not mind black on black crime, who is not a perpetrator of said crimes.
All these black people who live in the hood where people get *** up don't mind it? Is that what you are saying?

Could you please elaborate on what you mean by more accepted? How EXACTLY do you think black people in general feel about black on black crime?
I ask because in Ur first post you said black people don't mind it, now you are saying its more accepted which is mad vague.
Eating a slice of cake is more acceptable than dog food for most people, so is loosing a foot vs going blind. So obviously a thing can be despised but more acceptable than something perceived as worse.
also. theres a bias on whites as whell. the race as a whole is associated with mass murders like this. the nation was shocked when it was an asian who committed the murders at vt. and the black man *** from rooftops in dc
In my opinion, if black a genetically predetermined to be criminals. then by extension whites are determined to snap and go postal when they get under to much stress.
